Please let me know if you found this video helpful. Hopefully you don't have the same issue as me. Lesson learned, don't let advance auto parts touch your car

You dont need to unscrew it... just press on the retaining spring and slide it a bit to the left and its off

You are correct - except the guy at Auto Zone broke it. So the entire headlamp had to be replaced.

With a paper clip, it could have been fixed. Bend the paper clip around the screw and to the other side to the hole this way it would hold down the bulb.

Every video I look at, they are showing that bulb. I need to replace the one next to it

Same thing happened to me but I simply unscrewed the screw that held the spring, took a small piece of metal long enough to drill a hole for the screw and bent it to retain the clip. Took about 30-45 mins to fabricate and about 5 cents in materials.

That sounds terrible, thanks for sharing. Would it have been possible to source a low-temperature LED replacement? That way one could use a bit of epoxy, metallic or duct tape and just MacGyver it?

RunningEngineer where were you when I needed you?! Total cost of replacement was $100 :(

You know you can put the spring back on & have it held down by a screw. It would have cost 20¢ to put a screw that instead of the $200 you likely spent on a whole new thing.
