Ferrari + audi = bad marriage

ikr? I'm watching this race for the 1st time. I knew McNish's wreck happened during this race, but another Audi into another Ferrari leading to another near-fatality? I've seen McNish & Rockenfeller both since this, so I know they're fine, but what a day to work for Audi - or to be on a Ferrari team!

first crash was a pure racing incident, but the second one with rockenfeller was completely avoidable by the Ferrari driver

@@bsheaves It's still hard for me to look at McNish's wreck and call that a racing incident. To me it looks so obvious that McNish was sticking his nose in. It's taken a long time for me to understand why that would be a racing incident (which I now believe). He was passing his slow-moving teammate on the inside, for which he had plenty of room, and he had no way to see the Ferrari, who was closing the door right on his own racing line, where he was supposed to be. I understand now how low-to-the-ground those prototypes are, and how limited their visibility is. Some sort of traffic HUD would be nice, and I don't think it would require much new tech to do it. This seems like an accident that should be preventable. I just hope I don't see one like this again.

Ah... less than 30 seconds in and mention of the legend Alan Partridge already 👍. You can’t beat the Eurosport boys.
