sn9696 8 months later and I have no complainants. I love the car. The only change I made was adding the K&N typhoon intake which makes it sound amazing when it's in sports mode.

Thank you for your reviews; I really enjoy them. I have an IS F and love it. It's the perfect combination of luxury, performance and build quality. The only thing I'd like to refute in your review is the 0-60 time. Even ultra-conservative Lexus boasts a better time than you indicate, and all the trade magazines that have reviewed the car put the time at about 4.2 seconds (I can attest to this from firsthand experience). Thanks again for the excellent review.

I had the money ready to buy a brand new ISF, but when I saw the new spindle grille, I puked and then looked for a used one between 2011-2014 and found a cherry 2011. As a former race driver I appreciate the good handling/transmission and motor, but probably the number one feature I like is the reliability!

this car was made from 2008 -2014 you must have a regular lexus IS250 / 350 this is a pure F car ... the number equivalent would be an IS500

Kyle the 0-60 time on a IS-F is 4.2 seconds. A IS-350 can do 0-60 in only 4.9 seconds. Not trying to like correct you but just letting the viewers know.

Nice review!! Anyone claiming IS-F will destroy the M3 or vice versa has no clue what he is talking about. Straight line wise, both cars have similar 1/4 mile acceleration of 12.7 - 12.9 seconds and similar 0 - 60 mph of 4.3 seconds in every test. Both M-DCT and 6 speed manual M3 run similar times. Even around the race track, with the new updated IS-F (with LSD and reworked suspension), IS-F ran an identical to M3 3:05 lap time around Virginia international raceway.

I agree. The large, center mounted tach is a little too much. The best interior upgrade they did was in 2009, when they changed the color of the center dash trim to that deep black. Before it was like a boring and dull grayish color that the IS250/350 retained.

yeah, okay, whilst the interior might not be 'as good' (opinion), fact of the matter is the amount of money required to maintain a merc (or german car) will be significantly higher than the lexus......shame the quality of their drive-line components are no where near as good as that of the lexus.

Correction -- you mean "Dual Clutch Automated Manual". If a car has clutches and NO torque converter, it's a manual (regardless of how the the clutches are pushed in and out).

@SuperTre16 the 2009-2011 IS250 & IS350 HAVE turn signal mirrors, the IS-F NEVER had them and always had different taillights then the regular line up.. however for 2011 all models equipped with xenon headlights have the LED daytime running lights so @saabkyle04 is right, this is the 2011. you probably have the F sport package and not actual IS-F.

I like these things. I didn't realise Lexus changed the instrument cluster for 2011...it looks LF-A inspired now. The configuration is cool, but I think the gauges themselves look a bit cheap.
