@clfritz1982 To make it louder, yes. But the old press box was really getting tired as well and it needed to be replaced.

@WolverineHistorian Based on what we had returning, I didn't think the 60's range was possible. Top 20? Are you freaking kidding? That is Assistant Coach of the Year worthy. Right after Hoke gets the Coach of the Year. I was so mad when they hired Hoke. Wanted Harbaugh or to keep RR. Now I'm glad that AD's don't listen to arm chair people like me! :) People are worried about next year when we lose some good seniors. Mattison/Hoke have my complete trust. They'll get it done for us!!!

just goes to show what a simple coaching change can do for a struggling program. People say its not about the X's and O's but the Jimmies and Joes but clearly X's and O's made this bunch of Jimmie's and Joe's a hell of a lot better team than they were before.

something else that ive noticed is Denards passing, you can tell he's been busting his ass i practice to work on his accuracy, now after this season he has all spring and summer to work his passing even more, next year is gon be his best year
@themandownthehall13 жыл бұрын
@garyjblanton Agreed. If Mattison doesn't get Assistant of the Year then there is no justice in the world. I can't wait to see this team with another year under the system. Alabama better be ready because we sure will be!

Good to know you'e still alive :) Ohio State at home next week, this team has an opportunity to make this a truly special season if they can finish with 10 wins heading into bowl season. It would be great to see you put up highlights against the Buckeyes for a game that has happened while this channel has been up; Ndamukong Suh was at the game, hopefully it put him in a bad mood for Carolina tomorrow.

@mg5679 Last year's defense wasn't just bad, it was the absolute worst in the 100+ year history of Michigan football. Although I was happy to get Mattison back to Ann Arbor, my expectations for this years defense was an improvement to the 60's range. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect them to be in the top 20. That's why Mattison is my hero. Someone should build of statue of him outside the big house. After watching the D the last 3 years, he deserves it.

When I see Robinson here and in the next game against Ohio State, it really sickens me how badly he regressed under Hoke. He was such a special talent and with some decent coaching and player development could have been a Heisman winner or a national title winner. Ditto Gardner after him. Hoke: Worst Michigan coach ever...
@JohnnyV1238 жыл бұрын
I don't know about worst ever....but he was certainly not good. Besides Mattison he hired mediocre assistant coaches. He made several horrible game management mistakes. I will give him credit in the 2011 year the defensive line showed amazing improvement as did the team defense and gang tackling but besides that area it was rough going. What kills me is the talented players we wasted.
@themandownthehall8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, ok. Maybe not worst ever, but bad. And you're right about the wasted players. The talent that he brought in and completely wasted was a tragedy. Look at what Harbaugh and his group did with roughly the same group and a benched QB from Iowa. Amazing. Crazy good coaching. I really wish Robinson and Gardner would have had that.

Thank you for taking the time to edit this, WH. One more solid defensive game, and Mattison gets Ass't Coach of the Year ... hands down. In 42 years of watching college football, I can't remember a Div I coach ever making this much of a remarkable impact on a group of players. Truly, truly impressive!
