2011 Screamin' Eagle Street Glide with 21 inch wheel and Rineharts

This is my 2011 CVO Street Glide that I have added a few parts to. This video documents my evolution with this bike, my retirement present to myself.

@stoods797 Actually there are fit issues with more than chrome accessories. I ordered and tried the starter cove from Kuryakyn and hated it, sent it back due to fit. I tried the Screaming Eagle intake, terrible fit with the lower fairings, sent it back. Had to custom mod the Navigation interface module from the P&A catalog because it fits everything except the 2011 FLHXSE2. Worth the effort if you want to hear the GPS. I believe the fender bracket was J&P or another vendor, can't recall.

@stoods797 Don't be dissuaded though. As you can see, there are plenty of parts that do work, and truth be told, I wouldn't choose any other bike if I had to do it over again. I would make the exact same choice. I love riding this bike.

@HARLEYBOYZ1 You won't regret it at all. There are not too many things that one can buy and not have at least a bit of buyers remorse. I have absolutely none on this purchase. You need to join the CVO forum and you will find all sorts of valuable info and ideas.

@stoods797 No, the 21 is not the largest wheel that you can get to fit. Obviously, If you really wanted to be custom, you can modify for any size that you want. However, if you are going to ride it more than just around town or short bar hopping trips, I wouldn't go too much higher than the 21, IMHO. You do sacrifice ride quality the larger that you go and at some point you have to weigh ride quality versus looks; the 21 is a good middle ground, again my opinion only. Good Luck.

@downunderjuice Sorry but the Black Diamond came with the black and chrome wheels vice the all chrome.

Thanks alot for the feed back. I recenty just put on passing lamps and the cvo did not have all the plug and play so we ended up having to get conectors and do all the wireing. I also got the luggage stealth rack with the smoke led light in it. I am concidering buying bigger rim for the front but is 21 the biggest that you can go? I must say after riding this bike it feels weird to be on anything else.

@barefoot3zk5 Actually what you are seeing is the effect that occurs when you take a video shot of the lights. It is an illusion sort of like how a wheel looks like it is turning backwards when video taped.

very nice bike. With the bigger engine they tell me that some chrome acc will not fit like the starter cover is this true? ?If i was to upgrade my rims whoo would i buy the front fender bracket from? Thanks

Gotcha. I do feel bumps but i also try to avoid crappy roads. I like the look of the 21" and I think I will go with one here soon. I will post up a video of my street glide soon so you can check it out! Thanks bro and ride safe!

Im torn between putting a 19" in the front vs a 21" wheel in the front... Let me ask you this, does the 21" take away from the handling? A guy at the harley dealership told me that you lose handling/traction with the 21" vs the stock 17" that I have. But I would love a 21"... Any input?

Ha!. Congratulations on the new ride. You will love your new glide, hands down the best overall bike IMHO. If you are seriously interested in the stock wheels from the CVO that are the black and contrast chrome. We can discuss. Ride safe.

No replacement required nor rake change. However, I did have to raise the front fender but they make simple kits for that. It can be purchased aftermarket or through the HD dealership via aftermarket providers. Ride safe.

you should be just fine on a touring bike. Don't forget they also make shocks that lower the bike which are pretty popular for people who want a lower stance. Stay safe.

In my opinion, the Street Glide doesn't show its weight at all unless you are trying to roll it backwards while sitting on it, such as backing into your garage, etc. Otherwise, at speed, it feels light and nimble, much different than a Road King that I previously owned. Ride safe.

Thanks for the feedback. The front is 21 X 3.5 inches and the rear is 18 X 5.5 inches. zerocps didn't warrant a reply, I own this Street Glide. He is just trolling, probably walking. HA!

Honestly, yes you will loose what I would refer to as "comfort" handling. Meaning, if you are sensitive to bumps and road imperfections, you will feel more of them than you do with your 17's. The difference between a 19 and a 21 is almost negligible. The SESG came with a 19 in front and there is hardly a difference. With that said, the difference is not jarring or something that I dislike. I love the look and personally, it's worth the low profile ride that comes with it. Personal choice.

Without more info, that is a difficult question to answer. However, I will say that all of the touring models are better for taller people than are the softtails such as the FatBoy. I am 5'11" and I can only ride a FatBoy for 100 miles max.
