I love it because this is what my STInkeye sounds like lol Next step is to get a catless downpiper, injectors, fuel pump and coil overs. Some TE37s would be great but it's my daily and I don't have the funds for TE37s... lol

Love the contents you put up. Do you still have the tomei on your car? Have you had any issues with welds cracking? Apparently Tomei Japan no longer support or distant themselves Tomei USA due to Tomei USA making inferior products which lead to cracks in the welds. Can you make a review video of ownership of the tomei since install addressing any issues if any or fixes you did to it? Currently there isn't much content on this topic. Much appreciated.

Patrick Vuong hey man uhhh no I personally haven’t had any problems with cracks on any of the welds with my tomei and it’s been used for 2 1/2 years. But I do have dents on it and is a lot more fragile than other stainless steel exhaust’s as long as you don’t run your car extremely low to the ground you’ll be more than fine with not any cracks. Lowest point on my car is the resonator and that was the first to crack a tiny hole from scraping speed bumps. There isn’t much else you can do to fix it unless you get it professionally welded by someone who can weld titanium.

Thank you for your reply. Did you use the OEM exhaust hangers for the install? Heard that people who used aftermarket polyurethane hangars such as kartboys had cracks because the hangers are too hard which did not give flex to the exhaust and caused cracks in the welds and welds at the rods to break. Not sure if that's 100% true. Shouldn't happen to such an expensive exhaust system.

Patrick Vuong the only hanger I upgraded was the one that holds the muffler and that was a 3 hole hanger to be able to adjust the angle of the muffler. As far as the middle hanger, I left that stock and never put to much tension on the midpipe for it to crack so no problems there. I never heard of that though, you would think stiffer hangers would be better. Although tomei has a record of cheap material. Everyone who I’ve known who’s had a tomei never had issues with them

Usually led bulbs give off that effect because of the cameras frame rate doesn’t match the leds frequencies.

all the new gen 18 + sti’s all have factory upgraded pistons but for 17 and below they all live the same depending how well you mod your car with supporting components and a great tune

How loud is it when driving by from the outside with this exhaust setup?

it’s very loud on the outside if you put 50% throttle but if you keep it cool it’ll sound perfect so def not something you want if you trying to keep it for driving hard as it WOULD bring a lot of attention. I would also recommend this exhaust if you had a quieter one to switch off too so it’s not always loud

blakpete91 I’ve noticed that mufflers have increased the drone but depends if you have a Catless Downpipe. If everything is stock on the car and you put a q300 on you won’t hear anything inside, but if everything is stock and you add a tomei you will get more drone just because the tomei is a louder exhaust and if you add a catless downpipe with a q300 you’ll end up hearing the drone more, but with a tomei you won’t hear to drone at all, a very good example of vice versa, Q300 / Stock Downpipe = no drone Tomei / stock Downpipe = drone Q300 / catless downpipe = drone Tomei / catless downpipe = not as much drone. Hope this helped !

@@chevtube7715 Thanks for the reply. Definetly helped. I have tomei header, catless DP, and q300. Drone isn't bad but there is times I want more volume. I think I'll give the tomei a shot as long as the drone is the same or less but volume is louder if that makes sense.

blakpete91 If your up for more volume get the tomei ! Tomei isn’t too bad at all in drone. I have Tomei elh, catless downpipe and tomei on right now and sounds amazing, I want to get tuned with my fuel upgrade so I can make a video but it’s taking a little while, that’s my next post but def go with the tomei brotha you’ll love it

jeffery1909 na you don’t need an ewg for that reason. But yes you will need a tune for going catless and that boost controller so make sure you get that one before the tune. *PROTUNE*
