2011 Triumph Sprint GT - Sprag Clutch Assy Issue

the little silver bearings in the sprag have been assembled incorrectly in the factory making the sprag clutch engage in the wrong direction. carefully take note of how the bearings are mounted then remove the stretchy metal band that holds them in place and turn the bearings upside down. reattach the metal band and now the sprag clutch will engage in the right direction.

you've just explained what a sprag clutch is, what was the 'issue' ?

hello, my speed triple has the same issue. where and how much did get the parts? hey, i have the exact same problem. i little worse because i live in brazil and triumph parts are simple ridiculously expensive. did you adapt parts or bought it new. my aunt is in the uk i can ship the parts to her and shell bring them over. cheers

The Sprint GT and I are both in Cambodia. I bought the parts in USA. They were very expensive there, as well.

Was there a proper recall to correct these, should be a dealer issue.

Not that I'm aware of. The closest authorized to me dealer is in Bangkok. They suggested swapping starter motor polarity. So, then the starter would spin the engine, but in the wrong direction!

is this an upgraded clutch?

Yes. This is the uprated clutch.
