I think that it’s a trip inside the brain of the man,in the first part you can see the guy The guy that probably suffers from depersonalization, for example the scene of "the dinner" shows that he doesn't really remember anything about it, the boredom of the fact that it's a useless appointment makes him feel inadequate and then it shows also that for him the girl is not even talking to the fact that the phones fuck the human connection of a dinner, I think the ending is understood

I was never diagnosed, but I believe I struggled with OCD as a kid, in fact the Mayan calendar thing was one of my obsessive thoughts. And to me, this video mirrors my some of my experience with that. Of course, I don’t think it is the only explanation for the film. Just one not fully informed interpretation.
