I have the same engine and intake. Ive also done my pulleys and stage 2 flash. The whine mostly comes from the intake, which still sounds great, but our factory superchargers are pretty quiet.

What intake is it? Thanks
@TheWarawaj2 жыл бұрын
@@codyknapp3641 it is ECS intake. AWE and APR both have nice boxed carbon intakes. But the price is much higher.

By that logic, can i make my non-supercharged car sounds like this?
@BrentKendall02862 жыл бұрын
@@ahmadhuzaifahahmadfauzi You can achieve the “whoosh” sound from getting an intake but you will not get the whine that comes from the supercharger.

Hey man, that sounds sick! Can you tell me more about your tune and what you did on the car? Im new to stage tunes and stuff. But ive been thinking about doing one on my audi. I have the same car as you. Thanks man!

Hey Cody, go check out www.performancebyie.com This is the company that I went with for all of my tuning. They make it super easy for you to do it yourself in your driveway. You get the OBD2 cable and software and you can do everything yourself. Super easy!!

Hey I am looking into buying a 2012 A6. What can you say about the reliability? Have you spent a ton on repairs?
@BrentKendall02863 жыл бұрын
By far the most reliable engine in the Audi lineup. As it gets closer to 100k miles you’ll want to make sure the water pump, thermostat, and PCV has been replaced. This is a moderate DIY job if you are mechanically inclined. At a reputable Audi shop this would be around $2,500 total with parts and labor. I was lucky enough to find mine used from an Audi dealer with all service records. I just needed to do my water pump.
@ginnis_143 жыл бұрын
@@BrentKendall0286 ok cool. The one I’m looking at is at 140k. Do you think that’s too much to consider it? I’m pretty mechanically inclined, and should be able to take care of basic repairs. I just don’t want anything big happening.
@BrentKendall02863 жыл бұрын
@@ginnis_14 Make sure you get to do a cold start. Not sure where you are buying from but never look at the car after they've allowed it to warm up. When you do the cold start you'll want to listen for timing chain rattle at the back of the engine. At that mileage it is a concern. When it gets that many miles the chain will stretch and "slap" on startup. Once the engine creates oil pressure it should go away within 2-3 seconds. If the rattle does not go away then you have a serious repair on your hands. Another thing to consider at that many miles is clogged cats. Even on a stock engine the cats will clog eventually. Once you start adding more power that speeds up the process. To be honest, you can probably find something closer to the 100k miles if you are staying under a certain budget. Don't settle on this one.
@ginnis_143 жыл бұрын
@@BrentKendall0286 Thanks I will definitely check those things out. I am trying to buy one around 10,000. I found a few 2010s that have around 120k on them. Would those be a better deal? I tried to find one closer to 100k but I can’t find any that aren’t newer models that are 15k+.
@harrydelange18213 жыл бұрын
Buy a 2013 or newer model, its slightly upgraded. They can still have problems with oil consumption but not as much as the 1.8 and 2.0 tfsi 'disaster'. And keep in mind that repairment and parts might be (very) expensive. I own a 2013 with a 8 tiptronic gearbox and really all options abt. 100.000 Km driven. The 8 gear tt is a bit smoother than the 7 gear dsg but fuelconsumtion is higher (with the 8 tt).
