Arkansas was undoubtedly the 3rd best team in the nation this year. Only losses were away losses at LSU and Alabama.

Ahhhhh the nostalgia from the first Bobby Petrino era! I actually went to high school with DE Jake Bequette too -- although he was just a very tall, lanky freshman when I was a senior at Catholic High here in Little Rock (class of 2004). VERY glad to have Petrino back at UA as offensive coordinator now though, and it was refreshing to see the Razorback offense hitting on all cylinders a few days ago, regardless of it being against UAPB or anyone else. Managing a 70-0 rout of ANY opponent in modern CFB is an incredible accomplishment. Not to mention the fact that Arkansas now holds the record as the only team in CFB history to score touchdowns on every possession of their season opener, and it's been 20 years since any team scored TD's on their first 10 possessions. That's a tremendous accomplishment considering how many teams open their season with 'cupcake games' like UAPB. Obviously we won't know much about this team until next Saturday against Oklahoma State in Stillwater, and once we see some week-to-week consistency. There's no question we've got some phenomenal talent on this team, but realistically I see us finishing 7-8 wins at best considering the difficulty of our schedule yet again. We may not have the toughest schedule in the country, as we did in the previous three seasons, but it's easily among the most difficult with a total of seven opponents in the preseason Top-25 (five of which are Top-15 or better). We'll see how it plays out tho! #WPS

If there was a CFP in 2011, there is a really good possibility the SEC might have gotten three teams in. Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas. The incredible thing about Arkansas in 2011 was it didn't have a bona fide superstar. That team was a whole that was greater than the sum of its parts.

I'd consider Joe Adams a superstar. Dude was the second coming of DeSean Jackson

Damn this was a good Arkansas team. Wish our defense had that much intensity and power and speed this year in 2022. Unfortunately Arkansas isn't even close to that level of defense. Barry Odoms' 3 man rush never yeilded that many sacks.

We led the SEC in sacks this season and were two shy of the program record set in 1998. That 2011 defense was okay, but it wasn't as good as you remember.

What made this team so great was they took a kneel way ahead with 5 seconds left on the K-State 10 yard line. Too bad Texas A&M didn't have that much class when they ran up the score also ahead. SPORTSMANSHIP is what class is all about.

I don't remember that, but I do remember looking at the KState message boards prior to the game and they were giving the Hogs zero respect. Man I hope he can rekindle that offensive firepower. I know they are catching a lot of flack over lost recruits. The thing to me is the Austin ledbetter move from pitcher to QB. He is an almost clone of Tyler Wilson from the film I've saw. Perfect QB for a Petrino offense. Of course it's a wide open competition but this guy has the tools to run bps offense
