Good video, but WARNING: may not be as easy as it looks. I bought the sensor socket and took the old one out ok but had a heck of a time getting the new one lined up and in! Maybe I have big hands, but tight quarters! Got it though, so thanks.

Hi . Thanks for the video. I have a only the code P0520. I changed the oil pressure sensor however the code comes back. The scanner shows the pressure is reading good. Some times I hear noise in the engine as if is low on oil. The oil level is good. Sometimes there is delin transmission due to this problem . Just wanted to know if you guys have any suggestions. Thanks for sharing.

If your engine starts making noise when it’s hot probably you have a bad oil pump

Theres 2 sensors in that location Which one the upper or lower?? People cant tell what one you took out? The lower one is the oil pressure switch

It can give a P06DD CEL code that will have you chasing your tail around trying to find out what's causing it

@@mickstermouseter7059 I wound up taking it to the dealer they determined it was the oil pump. I didn’t do anything but take it on the highway and run it hard for about an hour. The problem seems to be corrected. The van did sit for a bit and I wonder if there was some sludge or dirt stuck somewhere and I burned it out. It was probably a 4 month stretch the van didn’t do much than drive 5 minutes to the grocery store once or twice a week

Torque specs for oil pressure sensor is 177 INCH pounds ,,,also torque specs for oil filter cap is 18 FOOT pounds,,, double check with dodge dealer service to verify,, over tightening filter cap can crack plastic oil cooler under the intake and cause leaking

You can buy a 1/2 to 3/4 conversion bit. Or just get a 3/4 ratchet kit too.

If there is oil around that plug it means the oil filter unit is leaking and it needs to be replaced and that requires taking off the intake manifold. They are known to leak. Its all one unit The oil filter housing, oil cooler and 2 sensors are all together in one unit😃

Then why didnt my.mechanic change this part as well??? He charged me.$595 to replace the engine oil cooler system but he didnt replace this. Wtf?? And i paid for the part separately so he charged me 595 for labor.

@@erikaledesma6272 Because he may have been lazy or he cheated by doing it this way and charged you the labor of pulling the intake manifold when in fact he didn't. I don't know what the cost is of the complete oil filter filter unit with both sensors but it may have cost you what you paid that mechanic. Hard to say.

Thanks dodge pushing people with special tools for dealership ripoff. And thanks may 6 mechanic nin NYC said no you need remove intake manifold and aşkın $400 lol will buy tool do myself by the way last gm car for me this scam
