2012 was a good class Jared Goff, Carson wentz, Baker Mayfield, Mitch Trubisky a good lesson just because you are in the elite 11 doesn’t mean you will be great and if you aren’t elite 11 it doesn’t mean you won’t be great. But a lot of the time there is great talent in the elite 11

For the most part, there's only one or two Elite 11 QBs that ever go on to have any success. The majority of them just wind up transferring over and over again because they aren't actually as good as they think they are, don't have the patience stick with a program if they can't win the starting job, and fade into obscurity. Plus it's just difficult at that age to peg who's going to grow up into what. There's a lot of change from high school grad to college grad.

Yeah. Just like first round draft picks in the Nation Football League. They're picked first because they are perceived as the most ready and the most winnable at the time, but the later round draft picks may have something in them that the coaches don't recognize straight away, and use that to their success!
