i don’t see the point in removing the climate control and radio from the center of the dash as there’s no bolts behind it holding the dash in and the harness comes out with the dash so they don’t need to be unplugged

Is this true? I’m about to do the one in my 2015 expedition and am looking for all the tips and tricks ahead of time.

@@CeeLowe25 i can do a dash in any ford before lunch time. easiest dash to do in the world. you only have to disconnect the harness connectors at the driver and passenger footwell, and some 8mm grounds. you don’t even have to take the steering wheel or shaft out. the entire dash will fall forward as one piece. leave the radio alone

@@CeeLowe25 once you remove the front seats, take out the center console. it’s gravy from there.

I did it yesterday in a 2014 Expedition. The only mystifying bit if you don't have a manual was the two bolts, left and right, that are under the windscreen pillar cover. There are two for the steel frame you can see bolted on the door suround. There is a third one you can only see from outside the car looking down through the windscreen just next to them, that is hidden by the pillar cover. It is a bitch the HVAC case with the evaporator is a sealed unit, too, you gotta drill out the plastic welds to wash the evaporator. There are screw holes for reassembly, but you gotta get more screws. Thanks guys, at least I saw here where you went to the hidden bolts, and that the air bag doesn't come off the passenger side.

@@rolannandlal4369 did you find them? It is not too bad a job on those Fords. The best made cars to work on, but, are Chevrolet. I like Trailblazers in particular. Chev make things practical. Rear wheel drive Holdens and Trailblazers from 2000 to 2010 are great cars, and the 4l60e is a very practical transmission. I just bought a 2009 Durango as my current project, and while I love it beyond measure they just weren't thinking when they used little itty bitty bolts in the exhaust manifold and shock absorbers etc. Chev uses good chunky bolts that don't bust.

Yes i found them, placed the dashboard on the seats and got the box out, replacing the box with dealer box and heater core..2 days ago i did a evaporator core on a 2011 Ram1500 5.7hemi that was very easy because it's colum shift..thank you and thanks to the video guys
