I have driven the new 1.0 125 ps turbo petrol version and I have to say it's amazing. Has a lot of torque at low rpms, but pulls great when revved... Great vid !

I love the focus. Grew up in one my whole life. And now my kids drive a red 2012 and a black 2015 focus.

I grew up in Europe and learnt to drive with manual cars. If you compare manual versus auto transmission from average cars, the manual shift allows better shifting for sure. But progress is made on that front and for everyday commuters the difference is getting narrower. New auto transmission's gas mileage is quiet good. Since I live in north america (USA then Canada) I learnt to like auto boxes because in traffic it is much less annoying.

Hello. Nice video, very comprehensive. I have a question, please. Under the front driver`s carpet you have something made of rubber that fits exactly, Where did you buy it? I have a similar Focus and I would like to have something like that, it protects the interior very well, I assume. Thank you very much and congratulations on your car !

Manual cars are still cheaper, still more fuel efficient - you can go through the gears faster than you can in an auto, also in my opinion many Americans (not all granted, but most) are too lazy to drive a manual shift.
@mcatlow86 жыл бұрын
Jonay2k that's not true. DCT like in the focus get better mileage than manuals. Also they are faster. But neither are as good as a CVTs.

Us Europeans know how to drive a manual shift - Infact we prefer it.. 95% of Americans do not.

Manual shift for a commute car is useless, moreover with new generation of transmission. Europeans drive manual cars because they are cheaper and they used to save gas (not anymore),

front power windows and manual windows in the back? no steering controls?.5 speed manual? this is the worst version of a focus i've ever seen. even the most basic model in the U.S. has steering controls and full power windows even a 6 speed automatic. you russians get models that are not acceptable anywhere else, that ain't right.
