Nice vehicle, people that knock them have never owned one. Good value for the money. I owned a Proton Jumbuck for a long time which similar to the Great Wall brand are made in Malaysia with Mitsubishi running gear. At the time everyone said it was crap. 10 years later not one problem with it, gave me great simple serv ice with good economy without all the bull crap frills you pay through the nose for in anything Japanese. I am now waiting pick up my 2012 Great Wall V240 cab chassis with 69,660 kms on the clock.....hope yours gives you good service. Good on you mate 👍

I hope you have better luck than others..the rep of the Great wall..is proving the adage " you get what you pay for " my mates no longer own one, both had major issues, fingers crossed ...

I had issue at the start but that's fix now. after that it seems to run ok. less power then other ute but yes, you do get what you pay for.

as long as its look after I don't see any problems, for a whole year its been running fine, the only problem with them is they are not very powerful for towing.

Getting parts for it was ok because it's the mechanic job to get the parts, they found it ok to get. There are enough of them around that you can get second hand parts as well

How are the taxes on diesel vehicles in New Zealand?

I don't know what it is now because this great wall take 95 unleaded . but when I did have a diesel ute I pay $70-80 (can be up now) every 1000km , that's on top of the Diesel price of $2 per liter now.

@@javinavasthe new great wall grand canyon would be better for towing. These older model lack some power, ok if your towing on a flat road but going up hill is slow. Fuel ok, but it takes 93 unleaded.
