Notice and count all the drivers door hits i took..... even arena shots on it under black flags.... and i took out a concrete pillar!! ... there is about 15 extra minutes at the end that nothing happens... forgot to shut off the camera

Excellent video. I like the idea of in car cameras. It gives us a driver's perspective... Sort of. One question on derby tech; I understand why you might cut out the firewall but why the tranny hump? Aren't you leery of the trans fragging and blowing shrapnel your way? I have seen a few in car cams that show this type of setup. In Iowa, though most of our derbies are chain and go... We are amateurs compared to shows like the ones you're in.

I thought that was probably the main reason you cut the firewall. And I agree that you should be able to use distributor protectors. How about engine cradles, are you allowed them? They might hold your engine a little more solid, perhaps too solid.

The promoters should realize that many drivers try to reuse their engines as many times as they can and allow certain mods to protect the engine. That can be done without building an indestructible machine.
