During qualifying there for Cup one time in 2017, I remember Matt Kenseth hitting 217 mph entering turn 3. It's unfortunate we'll never ever see that again

I believed it was because qualifying was rained out and they went to practice times for the starting grid.

Watching these compared to 2019-2020 550hp races, I can now definitely see the speed difference, the 550hp feels so much slower

they started restricting engines in 2015 these cars had no restriction what so ever, they were great
