Sondheim... Wow. I wasn't expecting to hear that today. The loss of the genius that is Stephen Sondheim is tremendous. This interview isn't filled with sweet lovey-dovey stories but it's honest comments about someone's experience. They've worked together several times since and Patti is starring in a Sondheim show as we speak.

Patti is a real pro. With Sunset, she also was broken down and rose again, and then this experience, and rose again. She's the belting Phoenix! She's human and we love her for it. One of the most thrilling moments in theater was the end of "Beautiful" in War Paint. Chills!
