As an Air Force officer I had the privilege of serving with General Zinni in Mogadishu . I can attest he was the most intelligent, insightful flag officer I encountered in my career. Where are leaders of this caliber in today's military?

I served with Tony as an advisor (Co Van) with the Vietnamese Marines 1966-1968. He is a gentleman and a first class Marine. RVN 1965-1968

What a wonderful speech, thank you General Zinni, for your words, everything you said about Vietnam Veterans is true, and I appreciate and love every one of you. I lost friends in that war, and those who came back were never the same, because we all lost something in that war. If I had been a guy, I'd have been there too. I have a very special place in my heart for ALL Vietnam Veterans and Nurses and others who were there to support you. God Bless EVERY Vietnam Veteran!!

And I salute Vietnam/Draft resistors who contributed to hastening the end of an illegal and immoral war....saving American lives. They were real patriots and did not enable the dysfunctional foreign policy of the US. At least give them a "shout out" Gen. Zinni :-)
