"Iangat natin ang kapwa natin Pilipino" wika ng ating pangulo. Iwaksi na natin ang pagiging utak negatibo. Hindi biro ang ginagwang reporma ng administrasyon ngayon. Bawat isa ay mahalaga para sa reporma. Magkaisa tayo para sa magagandang panukala ng ating mga lider lalo na ng ating presidente... Hindi man ito perpecto pero ito ay isang positibo!!!

I believe this next generation will have this mindset through the exposure to English language which itself focuses on God and country… Tagalog is great however I think English is a more uniting means of communication because it doesn’t favor Luzon as identity of all Filipinos and also give Filipinos ability to speak a global language.. and speaking to the globe, one begins to understand one’s own global identity and this will create the patriots who will serve the country and more importantly the amazing Filipino people. I believe the Philippines is long overdue for the economic boom that Japan and Korea received… but Japan and Korea had such booms because it’s people had a sense of global identity so it’s vital for Filipinos to unite beyond Luzon, Visayan, or Mindanao within the archipelago but rather see one’s self as Filipino on global stage and surely social media has made its own challenges for the youth however if anything it has created this identity within their mindset and that is crucial as it makes one think beyond clans and instead instill aspersions to benefit the entire nation through one’s own dreams of success and this is the seeds to national development… the last generation worked hard to set up the infrastructure (or soil) for this seed… now it’s time to nurture the “sprout” that is this upcoming generation by seriously investing and encouraging in the educational system throughout the provinces and allowing all children to attend some kind of educational facility at least to learn English so that they have opportunity to use the technology that is becoming more widespread throughout all walks of Philippine society.. this technology will be able to solve logistical dilemmas or will find a way to ensure all citizens are fed in future and that is who one must truly serve if one is serving the country.. serving the less fortunate and assisting them to become productive in society will benefit the nation in the long run and this is certainly a virtue the Filipinos know from their Christian faith… I haven’t even mentioned how I believe churches who use English version bible should be funded in order to provide English classes through spreading gospel to less fortunate or children who cannot local school for whatever reason. This way no one is left behind and all have opportunity to in future have the ability to speak on global stage just as I’m doing now… this is crucial because I think the Filipino character has a virtue that the western world especially the USA that can learn from and benefit the overall world outlook. May God bless the Philippines and God bless the USA (I’m a Kano with a Pinay wife and thus I felt the need to post my input as my descendants will be affected by Filipino national success and my great wish is that my children split their citizenship so that the family remains intertwined between our nations just as I pray our political relations remained intertwined in order for the Philippines to benefit from American wealth and investment but so that American will finally see the importance of the Philippines in our presence in the Pacific and that it was our struggle with the Filipino people in early 1900s that actually made us a world power and the Philippines is an example of American nation building that actually worked.. though the USA was harsh during Philippine American war [which I admit I need to study more as there certainly was many atrocities that need to be recognized and apologized for] the reality was that the clan based society beyond “Tagalog Luzon” was far too divided to become a thriving nation in that time and surely one of the European powers such as Germany at the time would have pounced and committed the same ruthless actions to subjugate the locals and thus change history completely. My reasoning to this lack of faith in the first republic is that the Philippines best general General Antonio Luna, by far the best military commander the Philippines had at the time and a true patriot for the “Philippine” identity was assassinated by his own people.. even American Generals who fought against him were astonished by such happenings and unfortunately this was a huge blow to the war effort as far as a national war effort and rather became a guerrilla war for the Americans against the various groups and clans throughout the island. The subjugation however began the concept of a Filipino to become more mainstream and despite American atrocities, there were many good intentioned Americans, especially from church missions who helped build infrastructure and set up schools to educate the people… I could continue and explain WW2 and how the Japanese have an almost equal role in influencing the creation of the Philippine identity both in positive and negative ways but the sense of radical nationalism was the best thing the Japanese did for the Filipino identity in that it empowered future movements however I believe I’m rambling rather than making a point… anyone who got this far and could assist me in resources that can better educate me on pre colonial Philippines and or history of the colonial period, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ve read pdfs of random US army documents for most part however I’m looking for a detailed history to really delve into this… it’s important that I am able to share the history of my wife’s country to my children so that they can be empowered by the achievements of Philippine heros along with the many American ones I plan to instill in them haha and I need to balance the history so that maybe they can be proud of who they are. But no matter what they will speak English to their father 😅 because conversing in English was the key to their existence since their mother knew it and thanks be to God she did and I thank the events and circumstances in HISTORY that allowed this to happen.. compared to say Thailand where it seemed be more difficult to converse with others since English is not as widespread as Philippines and out of all Asian countries, I think Filipinos speak the best English…. Well at least the “educated privileged” class of people speak very fluent but even among the commoners like how I am in USA, the people are able to talk even though they forget a word here or there… I’m very blessed because of this and I never for a moment once felt unsafe in Philippines… even taking rides with strangers to get to places buses aren’t available for, jolly enterprising drivers are always willing to cut one a deal (in English 😁) which generally wouldn’t be too safe but I was with my wife so perhaps I was more respected than a regular tourist but nevertheless even the rough areas of Manila are seriously not rough like some American cities and this shows promise for the future.

@Ohmrey De Ascis.
