These cars are top quality inside and out. The materials are long lasting and the NVH is fantastic. I have had my kizashi 3 years and it does everything perfectly. Extremely reliable also. I am a Suzuki fan after owning this car and will have it for many more years to come.

Steve mentioned that he felt the interior was not up to par...this is exactly the opposite of every other review source I've seen on this car. I checked one out last year, and I was impressed with the interior fit and finish and with the texture and quality of the materials.

I still feel this is a fantastic car. To bad no one reallyknows about it or can get one. I've seen a few around STL and love the look. A turbo sure would cure the power issue and maybe the MPG issues.

Suzuki is marketing this car at midsize buyers and kind of benchmarked cars like the Acura TSX. That explains the price. Size-wise it is a compact car on verge of midsized, but they need it to be bigger so that customers can know where it competes.

Steve, you're right about the Suzuki brand. Suzuki and Mitsubishi car brands are, to me, in a bit of trouble in the U.S. market.

Hey Steve. Great review as always. Just had a request. Can you test the 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i with eyesight? I am not sure if you get to choose your cars or not but I am thinking about buying this car soon and there are no other reviews out there.

My first 2 testers were SLS trims and I thought at the time the interior was a real hit. This GTS trim and three years later...not so much. I was driving the similarly priced Dodge dart at the same time and the interior on that car blows this away both in quality and amenities.

IMO suzuki has made some "rare" cool looking cars. Suzuki should really make a decision wether to pull out or stay in the US market, all their doing now is making people think. If they pull out, what about warranty work or buying suzuki specific parts. Who's there to do that?

The Sx4 is a Fiat Sedici,While Fiat is coming to NA and leaving Asian market,Suzuki is doing just the opposite.Is there a deal done between Suzuki and Fiat?

Suzuki hasn't pulled out of the U.S. they just discontinued car sales after 2013, but Suzuki is STAYING in the U.S. with a focus on Motorcycle, Boat Motor and ATV's. Suzuki of Japan purchased the failed franchise here in the U.S. and just started a new company "Suzuki Motors Of America". Suzuki car warranties are 100% still in effect, and 90% of Suzuki Car Dealers just signed a new 7 to 10 year agreement to continue servicing Suzuki cars.

At least I have never had to miss a party or a job interview bc my accord wouldn't start. My gti vr6 was fun but spent way too much time in shop.

My step-mom also has a '10 SX4. It drives pretty nice to me, but of course I'm used to late-90s cars so anything new is going to feel nice and tight. The fuel economy is a little disappointing though, given its size. I found the car uncomfortably small when three people and a toddler were put in it, and in return we get very roughly the same kind of mileage as my friend gets out of his larger Saturn L-series. But, they cross-shopped teh SX4 against a Kia Soul, and I like the Suzuki better.

$27,000? No way! CVT No way! Other than that its a nice car. I agree they need to be like hyundai kia. Keep the price low and content high!

3,000$ more than a scion fr-s, and that's what the youngsters are looking at these days. 2 door, sporty, and easy to upgrade.

I think it is a very nice car for AWD I still think it is build in a better material from the in said and out too .. Suzuki problems is Marketing something is going wrong in said this company .. they must have marketing professionals to look into future marketing and production at once its way to locate them self with the competitions

Steve got every point right. The Suzuki was okay couple years ago but now the competition has surpassed it.

This is highly due to Volkswagen owning a small portion of Suzuki. At this point, Volkswagen has proved to be the only benefactor in this deal as Suzuki closed its doors on US soil. Most were anticipating some form of DCT as a result of the alliance and... well, here's the outcome. EDIT: I should note that I'm only talking about the automotive division of Suzuki, not other divisions of Suzuki who are still operational in North America.
