I have got to the stage where I genuinely look forward to the USSOC just to see what these guys will do next. Have loved every routine from 2001 and to still be creating new routines of such magnificent calibre with new tricks and styles is testament to J&T's true ability as two of the world's best dancers!

Jordan and Tatiana dance a very stylized...style, for lack of a better word. They are world champions and definitely not the norm when it comes to WCS. They dance these choreographed numbers for competitions like the US Open and when they are doing a showcase somewhere, but trust me, they can dance classic WCS and do so most of the time at conventions. West Coast Swing today still has LOTS of "swing" and they are just beautiful to watch doing it.

Jordan & Tat . . . its such a pleasure to watch you and this is everything I expected it to be - "the best of the best"! I would love to see a full-on "Zouk" presentation in the future - you ROCK!

WHOA! I didn't think many people would try to coreograph a dance to dubstep let alone a dance THIS stylish. I am very impressed. That looked really fun, especially that one slide at 2:04
@noellethefallenhuman40008 жыл бұрын
well, its not really that hard to coreograph, that normally more or less starts with a free style for a basis to jump off, the hard part is memorizing it, practicing it, and getting everything perfect

I was a swing dancer in the mid 50's through the mid 60's - most of the good dancers could dance with anyone of similar talent - A good dancer would lead his partner through various turns without the advantage of practice. These champions bring a unique style of show dancing while maintaining the basic swing style of dancing. This is far better than the professional dancers you see on TV who do more of rapid kicking and hopping style that is far removed from what swing is all about.

I wish there was more of a distinction made on the internet between East and West Coast Swing. These West Coasters are very good, but as a Lindy-Hopping East Coaster, I know they are VERY different dances, and it's clear people get confused.

There are a few clubs that strive to keep the swing music played, but it's a balance between keeping people, who for the most part are just out there to have fun and to dance, and playing swing music. if that makes any sense at all. (i'm not really good with putting my thoughts to words)
@Valarauko09 жыл бұрын
People who say this isn't swing probably shouldn't be posting on dance videos. This is open category west coast swing.

So let me rephrase that. The music I enjoy dancing to, is swing. Most of the songs played at comps I agree really isn't swing music. And believe me, i know what a swung note is. I was born and raised around music. I've played music since elementary school. I wasn't saying that this was swing. I was replying ti the comment made by MissLola223.
