I love my 2013 Passat SE V6. Very nice smooth powerful engine. Love the dual chrome tip exhaust. Very roomy and comfortable. Overall great car imo.

Holy cow I love this car. I purchased a used 2012 Passat S in 2014, with only 44,000 mi. on it. It was a rental car. I've been driving it ever since. It's a road-warrior, and I love it! All i've done is keep up with the maintenance on it.I've not had any problems with it mechanically. It is currently at 196,000. One thing though: last month the back passenger tie-rod snapped on me on a freeway on-ramp. The original tie-rod is soo thin, it's not a wonder that it eventually snapped. The replacement part was redesigned apparently because when I ordered it, it looked a lot stronger, made from a thicker-gauge. Anyway, that's my only caution. It's not even that expensive to change them out. I plan to switch out the other side to be safe. I would also caution that parts and service tend to cost a pretty penny, but I've been able to shop around and find OE parts for it that are a little more reasonably-priced than dealerships. OMG VW dealership service depts. are merciless with their quotes and prices. I learned to do some things myself, and it's relatively easy. Anyway, I love it, and will continue to take care of it and drive it.

I just bought one today Edit: For anyone considering a Passat The 2012 Passat was my first vehicle. Purchased at 93k currently at 140k miles So far in maintenance -battery 120$ -oil change every 5k miles 120$ - 4 new tires 520$ - exhaust leak patch weld 280$ -I had a issue with the knock sensor when driving in the rain/ a few days after it rained, the car would go into limp mode This issue eventually went away after a battery replacement (coincidence or not idk) -Edit 2 2 weeks after (Edit 1) The car jumped timing, I got the timing chain & tensioners replaced (1600$) and the car was driving better but at high RPMS the EPC light would flash indicating bent rods from the timing jumping. Just replaced the whole engine with a junk yard motor 88k miles (2000$) car runs good for now.

That's not even a German car.. It's built in the US and it was developed for the US, China and Korea exclusively.. The quality of the NMS Passat and the Euro Passat is very different.. Otherwise they wouldn't sell the NMS Passat this cheap..
