My 2013 Ford Escape has been overheating recently, especially after sitting at a long traffic light. It has the 2.0 EcoBoost engine with All Wheel Drive. My investigation led me to find that the radiator cooling fan was not running. I was able to cure the problem for just the cost of a fuse! Two other common problems are the voltage sensor on the negative battery cable and recognition that if the battery goes dead, you can't open the rear hatch to get your jumper cables and the shifter is locked in Park.
