Two things that get overlooked by many who are starting out: 1. Hold the camera steady. Don't move it unless you have to. 2. Talk to your acting talent, guide them and make them feel comfortable. The efficiency with which you do this, determines your productivity on shoot days. Learn to do this quickly and well.
