Thanks dude! Great video. Finally got around to swap mine out. Very helpful. I also noticed the heater hose assembly between this and heater core was dripping and it snapped off inside hose. Extracted the broken stub with a shortened tent stake to fit inside stub. Ordered updated metal part at auto zone part # 626-625.

I looked around the engine bay and found coolant sitting on top of the transmission case. I looked closer and noticed drips coming out the water outlet pipe.

Whats the specific name of that part?

Do you have to do that at the end?

What was the torque specs on the coolant outlet
@ya_boi_zak5927 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. I just tightened it by hand. You should be good to go as long as you don't overtighten it.

i did this and my car started immediately overheating after i put the new part and added coolant, did i make a mistake somewhere?
@ya_boi_zak592710 ай бұрын
Immediately? Like when you started the car the gauge instantly said overheating?
@drowneq124710 ай бұрын
@@ya_boi_zak5927 yea, can i facetime you or text you? i can compensate you for your time. as soon as i start the car it goes "high engine temperature , stop safely" i cant accelerate or anything. the coolant is full to the brim, but it doesn't even flow at all when i start the car.

Man your video has been super helpful, I had this on my Volvo S80 1.6 T4 that has the same engine. Same situation in every detail. Happened to me 2 hrs after I changed the valve cover gasket, where the plastic was as brittle as the coolant outlet as well. Do you have any advice for these 1.6 Ecoboost engine for other parts than the valve cover gasket and the coolant outlet that have plastic in them that just gets worn out over time? I might replace those before they give out but as a DIY-er I have no further experience on these :) Thank you.
