Retrobuilt modifies 2005-2013 Ford Mustangs to have the look and feel of 1969 Ford Mustang and Shelby GT 500 Mustangs. A car for the auto enthusiast with the styling of the classic muscle car of yesteryear paired with the performance, reliability, drivability, and technology of today. Hundreds of hours have been spent to design, develop, and fabricate their stunning vehicles. The cars have authentic metal bumpers, door handles, rear window louvers, and original type mirrors and side marker lights. They even handcraft the stainless steel trim on the front end of every car. There are countless custom features that make the car's a true "Retro built" automobile.

That's awesome! I'd MUCH rather someone do this with a modern car and watch someone gut out a classic and put a modern interior. Not a bad idea for someone who want a show car look without dropping the 50-70k it takes to get a car there.

Very Cool cars - I was one of the privileged ones that sat in the drivers seat of these 2 exact cars and I can tell you that they are one of a kind. You will always get a head turn as they appear just like a 69' but with all the benefits and features of a brand new car. Enjoy Life and enjoy Ford by getting a retrofit from these guys as they definitely know what they are doing!

I talked to one of the guys at retrobuilt Aaron I believe and he was working on the rear quarter window, had some ideas such as a decal etc. I am sure they will come up with something as that's really the only thing missing from the "look" of a 69/70. One idea I had is bond a thin piece of plexiglass or such in the shape of the rear quarter. A slight tint on it might help blend it in more and of course the chrome trim.

in FL you can not get full coverage insurance on a salvage titled vehicle.

I don't know, and I'm not sure about the fiberglass parts just being glued and overlaid, on the original parts.

The bonding process is warranted and there are plenty of bonded modified cars running around out there.

It's not an exact treatment of everything, no place to put them on this platform and get them to look right.

Thanks so much MustangConnection for all the support! The quarter glass is not there because that area is considered a crush point on the car, and had we put it in, it would have voided the warranty. When designing these, maintaining warranty was very important to us, and no small feat. The last thing we want to do is take someone's brand new car and ruin the structural integrity while messing up the warranty. We're currently designing a workaround that solves this issue while maintaining the proper look.
