I feel like I'm driving an SUV. When next to another car, even cars in the same class, they look puny beside the Taurus. I didn't think it would be that noticeable. You can steer it with your pinky b/c it has that electric steering assist. Driving it, you feel that it has mass, and is crushing everything in its way. I dig it.

I sold my Honda Accord EX-L NAV for a 2014 Ford Taurus Limited. Best move I have ever made. At 27.000 miles, break pads failed on the Honda. Then at another 27,000 miles, failed again. Got a refund from a class action suit. Then had to buy another set of break pads. WTF. So far, I love the Taurus. No road noise like the Honda. Good interior room. Great handling.

David James I wouldn't knock Ford anymore. I bought a Taurus based on my experience with my Ford Explorer which I drive well over 120k miles with nothing more than routine maintenance. The Taurus is a beauty inside and out. You'd have to get up close to and inside one to fully appreciate the "presence" of this car. The ride is civilized and soft without that deadening sensory deprivation you get in a Lincoln or Caddy. But I don't think I really got in my head that I had just bought a "full sized sedan" (a dreadful phrase to a single guy) until I got it in the garage. yikes, what a boat! Now on the downside the Taurus is not a roomy car for its size. It has a concept car like interior that surprises everybody and comfortable seats fit for a five hour road trip but it's not for XXL people. And frankly if you need a kid friendly hauler your money is best spent elsewhere.

David James you'd have you get your wallet out after the warranty expires on any car. The fact of the matter is I never had to take my 2002 Explorer in for any major problem in 10 years. I don't think the warranty was the thing holding it together.

Quick question my dad might get me one I think its a 2014 is the instrument panel easy to use I heard it can be a pain to use because I watched reviews well just read the Manual that would be easy that's all

I'm thinking of buying a certified 2013 Ford Taurus with 202,000 km. Its Jan/20/19 now and the asking price is $6,500. It has snow tires installed but I will need to buy summer tires. I asked the owner if I could take it to my friends mechanic and he said no problem Any advice for a first time female buyer?

InevitableBlue unfortunately it would be a pretty basic Lexus depending on the model. But then a loaded model would be smaller than the Taurus and then you would have just defeated the point.

@kalargyi Its their flagship of course its going to be expensive that's what its all about.. and yes lincoln need atleast one goodd looking car they take decent cars and screw them up.. lincolns look awful in my opinion

Weird looking car. I would never buy one. Or even drive one if someone gave it to me. It's ugly, and is expensive. I would rather have a CVT like a maxima than a 6-speed in a Taurus.
