What Camerons Car Reviews has to say: The Elantra last got redesigned two years ago and for 2013 Hyundai has introduced a hatchback and a Coupe for the Elantra. The Elantra offers an incredible amount of Value for the money or you can call it bang for the buck. Power in the Elantra comes from a 1.8 L 4-Cylinder made into a 6-Speed Automatic or 6-Speed Manual that gets you from point A to point B. Features like heated rear seats are high end luxury features that are not even really seen in this class. EPA classifies the Elantra as a midsize car, but the Elantra competes directly with compact cars which puts it as one of the roomiest compacts you can buy. Compared to it's competitors the Elantra would probably look better than some, however some people love or hate the styling. If you are looking for a very roomy comfortable compact car with a lengthy warranty and a variety of body styles, go with the Elantra Sedan, GT, or, the Coupe as these body styles are a top choice in this crowded segment.

Hey man. Thanks for the review of the interior features. Iam considering picking up a low mileage limited and this is helping me decide. People online have made complaints of mechanical failure and I was wondering if you had heard any such thing. Seems like a good value and it even has a compass in the mirror which is a plus for me

As an owner of both a 2012 Elantra and 2012 Honda Civic Euro, I will say the Elantra engine has much more urgency than the Honda, it delivers slight more horse power and mated to the 6AT has a better pick up. I find the engine smooth and quiet apart for the weird noise on cold start that you can also hear in this clip. What the Civic Euro has over the Elantra is overall quality, superb handling and comfort. If I was to choose between them both I'd take the Civic.

Why does the engine sound like a Singer sewing machine from the 70's? Not trying to be a dick, but really....Toyota and Honda engines are so much more refined. Toyota's 1.8 is a much better engine...and to get 148 on this engine you got to really hop on it....and this car here is really expensive for what you get.
