Majestic victory from a horse who will prove later on this season that he is quite exceptional, and there is no such thing as a bad derby winner, the way he quickened up at the 3 pole was magnificent

No one said he was a bad Derby winner, however it was a bad Derby overall. Congrats to ROTW, however i think this will be his best ever win, i don't see much else coming from him . Lets see and good luck !

some good points there but i dont understand why the number of aob horses in the race should be questioned,i think the derby owes aob allot,lets not forget his horses are bred and trained for this race alone,without the number of runners he has over the years the race would be a shadow of itself,he deserves praise not criticism!

Godolphin today under achieved. For all of their billions of dollars and royal treatment of their horses (which is to be admired), they still struggle to train a champion horse over more than a mile. Aidan o Brian having 5 horses in one race , which in my eyes has to be questioned, did the right thing by slowing the race. Great tactics! Easy Guineas winner coming second last in the derby.. punters should be refunded by the Sheikh himself. Libertarian - Melbourne Cup get him in there !!

Very mixed emotions about Libertarian being sold to Godolphin. Karl & Elaine Burke have done a masterful job with him through the G3 Classic Trial, G2 Dante Stakes, & G1 Epsom Derby, but I just don't see there being a big upside to his being transferred to the yard of Saeed Bin Suroor post-Irish Derby. Far too often over the years I've watched horses start out as real contenders with Andre Fabre in France for Sheikh Mohammed only to become real pretenders once in the hands of Saeed Bin Suroor.

AOB running 5 horses just shows the Derby as not being the elite race it once was.Are we seriously saying that he thought any of the 5 would win or taken a place ? AOB is top class, but what about the other owners ? Ruler of The World was ok but didn't impress much although a deserved winner

So why even bother entering DA in the race at all? And certainly why at 11-8 Fav? DA was burned out after the first 4 furlongs when the bridle was taken. Would they not have practised this in the lead up to the race? At the end of the day, horses are animals, and there are no guarantees, however by the time the Derby is run, you'd have thought potential issues on performance would already have been ironed out. .
