Hey bro, go through the bottom. 1.) Disconnect the upper radiator hose junction (3x 10mm head) 2.) Disconnect plug from car to resistor in (helps to have a long screwdriver to push while pinching, if melted, fix that first) 3.) Disconnect burp tank 4.) Pop transmission lines off of fan housing 5.) Lift front of car (the further the better) 6.) Take 2 drivers side front skid plate bolts out (10mm head) 7.) Slide fan assembly off of bottom alignment clips 8.) Rock and rotate clockwise while moving trans lines out of the way. 9.) It'll get tight a couple times but should pop right out of the bottom, burp tank last. 10.) Reinstall, and drink beer. I couldn't find a video either, this way took me 40 or so minutes. This one ate the resistor, so I put in a new one, then turned slow, (to the untrained eye it seems like a normal, low-speed), then it popped the fuse, so I went whole-hog. I also got some alligator clips and grounded the furthest up (only green on connector) then juiced the opposite side and compared speed. You'll only need to tap the other alligator clip, don't clamp both. We set both on the engine and fed them power to compare speeds. The old one would spin slow and hardly freewheel, the other took off and freewheeled. Not a huge difference side by side, but enough to ruin someone's day.

Thank you for this information. Checked my fuses and relays ( jumped relays no help). With A/C on fan should work. Turned fan blades quickly by hand with key in start position ( engine off ). Fan started but very slow. I will change fan assy. ($95.00 local ).

2012 will not come out the top without removing the intake. Comes out the bottom without much struggle. Took 2 hours since I thought it would come out the top. No more overheating while idling!

I did it last night on a 2018 Soul , took off the intake manifold. Not too bad a job. The lower radiatator support and the AC compressor blocked taking it out from the bottom.
