So, having the advantage through the whole tournament and losing makes you the champ? Awesome logic there. With a massive 95-5 advantage in the final he lost. You all have odd notions of what a champ is.

Shahar played extremely smart. And it isn't that Reid's deck shat on him, it is a deck that is prone to having awful hands like that every few games. It happened twice to him in the top four. Game three and four Shahar strictly outplayed him. If you want to call luck then I would counter that game one and two that Reid got extremely lucky draws and Shahar's deck shat on him. Reid is awesome though, that was an awesome match to watch on both sides.

Everybody probably already does this, but even if you're not side boarding you add your whole side board to your deck, and remove 15 cards. If your are sideboarding, Your opponent won't know how many cards you put in. If your aren't sideboarding, they still think about you playing a deck with 15 different cards in it.

Do you live in a world where if you do something, that's the only thing you are ever allowed to do again? Additionally, if there is one thing that is a girl deterrent, it is the lack of a sense of humor - something you clearly posses in abundance...

A person who just learnt how to play Chess isn't going to learn a damn thing about playing Chess by watching Nigel Short vs Garry Kasparov. The same applies to Magic. The Pro Tour is not the place to learn about the game. If you want to watch people who are better than you at playing Magic - which is a great way to learn how to play the game - I'd recommend you find someone who streams Magic Online and plays a lot of Limited i.e. drafting, because then they'll almost exclusively be playing with cards from the most recent expansion pack. LoadingReadyRun would be my personal recommendation.

Stefan Witkowski-Baker All I ask is that they give a short description of what the cards do.. it would take seconds and give a much more interactive experience to the game. This game focuses a lot on the fine details of the text on the cards.. If I don't even know what the card is called, how am I supposed to know what it does? But I do understand where you're coming from. I'll check out some other videos.

Will T Sorry but the Pro Tour isn't going to tell people what each individual card does. It's about the best playing the best, not about teaching the basics of the game. I'm by no means an expert, but trust me, the pro tour is now where to learn the ropes.

@IceMaverick13
@IceMaverick13 9 жыл бұрын
Between buying all the cards to forge multiple high competitive decks and paying entry fees and attending Limited format events, I don't suspect they spend more than 3-7k a year in the format they're playing after figuring in card costs, entry fees, and other things needed to be paid for to play. It'd be worse if Legacy was the competitive format. I'd figure that'd tack on another 2-4k on card costs to get everything you need for a format that's so deep.
@pdrohberg
@pdrohberg 9 жыл бұрын
there aren't many new cards joining the competitive modern decks through new editions, since the cardpool is so large already. There are 3-10 relevant cards per edition and that's it. As long as you don't play standard, the price per year to get the new cards is really low.

Whats the prize money for Pokemon? Im just asking since i dont know... And it might answer your question. Also, this game is way more intense in general. I know since I play both.

Pokemon is very easy to learn and play. Magic is equally as easy to learn and play but Magic is much more complex. Most child can't play it.

I was rooting for Reid Duke! I've played with Shahar (who lives in the US by the way) and he has very poor sportsmanship. It's a bummer to see the nice guy take 2nd place but sometimes the bad guy wins. Shahar played well.

Complete waste of time sorry. MTG is a great game but when taken to this level it becomes annoying. If you have the time and energy for this stuff rock on but if your like me I'll stick to collecting and playing against friends and foes.

It helps players see different lines of play by having cards next to different cards versus just looking at your hand in any particular order. Alternatively it could just be A) Something to do while your opponent makes their move, or B) Nervous reaction.
