Any C30 is a privilege to be behind of in traffic. One of the best looking rear ends on the road imo.

It is a very good looking car and it has a solid feel. However, it has some holes when it comes down to technology. For example, the car comes with a navigation system but no backup camera. It has a Bluetooth audio streaming but no push start button.

​@@ubiased23a lot of the newer tech in cars is unnecessary garbage. Those things would ruin a C30. You literally don't need a back up camera with a glass hatch that wide with such visibility. I miss when cars were specifically CARS with just enough tech for music and dvds with some comfortability, but not unnecessary stuff like "lane assist" and autobrakes that just encourage newer drivers to pay less attention to the road than they already do. I'd love for Volvo to bring back the c30 or a similar car, but with everything being a hybrid or electric, they'd probably ruin it the way they did the newer V60s...

A friend of mine owns a fully loaded 2012 C30 T5 r-design 6 speed manual, and it really is a fun car to drive and even ride in. He lets me drive it all the time. His doesn't have the Polestar chip, but he does have a Mototec Carbon Fiber CAI with 3" Piping & 6" Filter. It also has a do88 Big Pack Upgraded Intercooler & Piping Kit. For exhaust, he has a Mototec 2.5" Touring Edition Exhaust System with 4" rolled tips. He has a Mototec 3" Downpipe w/HF Cat. He also has a RICA Stage 3 Remap. He's running 245/40ZR18 front and rear tires. He uses Hawk HPS brake pads with stainless steel brake lines. He also has a Quaife ATB Helical Limited Slip Diff. I think he has some light suspension work as well. I'll have to ask him about his other mods again. Lets just say that his C30 is a totally different animal! Man, what a fun car to drive!!

Lovely car. That 5 cylinder is always such a joy to listen to. I wish it was less muffled though. Not louder, but angrier, like in the Focus ST or RS.

i own a 2010 r design facelift c30.. albeit the 1.6 petrol for insurance purposes as its my first car, i think its a fantastic car, well built, drives smooth especially at 70mph and has a great sound system but i find the seats a bit unsupportive, comfortable but you move around a little when you push it round some corners, just thought they would have upgraded them in the t5... the only thing that lets it down, awesome car though.

Always hated the rear of the C30 lol. I don't find that design any bit attractive. The front end looks good tho. :) All-around it's a decent car tho. I'd rather go with the S60 tho. If I was getting a hatchback I'd get a VW GTI, WRX or Mazdaspeed3 instead of this C30R.
