Outstanding. Very cool, coming out 2 grand ahead, plus all your kit. It is great that even though the motorcycle was not a pragmatic fit, that it seems such a positive experience. Thank you, for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Found it. 2019 Burgman 200, 1070 miles, seller is asking $4500. He is in Atlanta area, it seems, so search there I guess... May be worth a road trip?

@@SanProsan1993 thanks but i can get a new one for $4900. thats where i'm having trouble is used ones cost as much as new ones.
@SanProsan19932 жыл бұрын
@@MadsWorld34 true, but new ones come with dealer fees and true out-the-door price comes up to $5500-$6000. While with a used one some negotiating can be done, for a better deal than the asking price.

Nothing is perfect but, the only downside to this bike is it’s heavy and top heavy, for it’s intended market it’s almost perfect, if it were a bit lighter and weight lower centered it would be perfect, it’s super easy to ride and reliable

Well this is great to hear because I ride a gen 3 klr650 and looking at this bike. So it should feel the same except for all that power 😅

Hey there Quasi, clearing out the stable for some new Stallings maybe? Congratulations on turning a profit, goes to show if you take care of your stuff it can pay off in the end! I doubt you're going to have any issues selling the add-ons you had purchased for it (can they fit your C3, it's a Yamaha also 😆) Thanks for the ride along!

I had a 02 zx6r loved it super fast! Somebody wanted to trade their 2012 kx450. So I traded, now im coming off a deal of one of these 6,500miles for 1500 . This is a crisper bike right? Nothing compared to how the zx6r road?
@QuasiMotard2 жыл бұрын
The FZ6R is a sporty bike, but it's not extremely fast like modern hyper-sports. The engine makes about 75 HP, so it has good acceleration and reasonable top speed around 120 MPH. 😉👍 --QM

Do you know if a 17T sprocket will fit on the front? I have a 16T and the Speedo is off 5-8mph depending on the speed
@QuasiMotard2 жыл бұрын
I had slight clearance issues with the front chain guides and the 16T sprocket. The increased sprocket diameter pushed the chain REALLY close to the guides, so I had to relieve them a bit with a bench grinder and a Dremel. Based on that experience, I'd think that the 17T would be a no-go. 😉👍 --QM

Is there a quick shifter on this thing? Either that or that is one heck of a soft clutch pedal
@QuasiMotard2 жыл бұрын
Nope, just quick fingers and a precise right wrist! I've received a lot of comments about my shift timing on other bikes and how I installed the quick shifters. I've just tuned my motor memory over decades of riding and racing to shift smoothly and nearly instantaneously. Half-clutching and only dropping the throttle a few degrees is the trick. Sometimes I'll need a couple of miles to adjust my timing after switching bikes, but it's all muscle memory. 😉👍 --QM

The 2013 Yamaha FZ6R had 77.5 hp / 57 kW @ 11500 rpm. The FZ6R engine was sourced from the pre-2009 Yamaha R6 and detuned for more midrange torque. Here is a good article with the history of the FZ6R: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_FZ6 . Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

I'm a Honda fanboy, but it's always sad to see a bike goes. I owned an F800GT BMW a while back. That was an expensive mistake.

Hey Quazi. How much are you selling it for? I might be interested.
@QuasiMotard2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, it's already gone... I sold it for $5K! I probably could have gotten $500-1000 more out of it, but the timing was right and it was a no-fuss sale to this dealer. 😉👍 --QM

Good beginner bike?
@QuasiMotard10 ай бұрын
That depends on the new rider's physical size and fitness. The FZ6R's seat height is 32.5", so it's a bit on the tall side for some riders, and it's very top-heavy. The engine delivers predictable power and the clutch action is very smooth, so a new rider shouldn't have any trouble learning to ride it. However... it's a 75 HP bike that's capable of triple-digit speeds, so a new rider could easily get in over their head with speed if they're not careful. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

@QuasiMotard I'm new to sports bikes, but not new to ridding per say. I found a good amount of R3s and Ninja 400s, but I think they would become boring after a couple of months. I'm not looking for hayabusa speed but not looking to kill the bike of rpms on the interstate either
@QuasiMotard10 ай бұрын
@dylanfrerking6671 You would probably enjoy this more than the smaller bikes. The FZ6R isn't a "sports bike" per se, but it's a sporty bike. The handlebar risers give it a more upright seating position than the clip-on bars on sports bikes. The engine revs fairly high at freeway speeds, but it's very smooth and doesn't sound/feel like it's about to self-destruct. I originally got the FZ6R to use as a sports-tourer for cross-country trips. I took a few 500-800 mile trips with it, and it performed well. Good luck shopping, and I hope you find a good fit! 😉👍 --QM
