Silly question - do they rent the bikes there - or ship their own? Seems impossibly expensive to ship? But “bulk” ? China sends me stuff for “free” (subsized)

George Rady we all road our bikes to Tasmania. It doesn’t cost much at all to put your bike on the ship called the Spirit Of Tasmania. It only costs between $69 and $99 from low to peak season. And there was 250 of us doing the GS or Off-road Safari that year. And there were 150 riders doing the TS Safari. ( or tarmac safari ) to put it simply. So 400 riders plus support crew etc. Our ferry prices were included in the overall cost of doing the Safari. So you can imagine the discount bmw would have received for doing such a huge booking. The TS Safari ran one week, our GS Safari ran the following week. I’ve done 10 Safaris. And they are bloody brilliantly run. I class it as 5 days of heaven.
