2014 Buick Regal Turbo AWD Test Drive Video Review

www.autobytel.c... The Buick Regal is no longer your grandpa's cushy sedan; instead the new Regal is more powerful and has a tighter suspension. In fact this Buick does feel decidedly more European thanks to the fact it is built on an Opel Insignia platform. The 2014 Buick Regal is a well-rounded sedan with a base price of $29,690 and the AWD version will cost a couple of grand more.
The Regal is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L direct-injected Ecotec 4-cylinder that makes 259 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for the AWD model is 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.

The gas mileage is not good: 19 city and 27 highway? My 05 La Crosse does better than that.

My mom loves her '05 LaCrosse CXS - we love it, too - almost as much as we love our 2015 Regal... but we all know the Regal gets considerably better MPG than the LaCrosse.

Buick Regal isn't an American car anymore. So it kinda feels like every time you buy a new one your giving the country over seas more opportunities to create more of our old name plates and that makes America insane.

It's built in North America, by a carmaker owned by a North American company. Opel, though located in Germany, itself is actually owned by GM, an American company. The car is a global design, which even Ford does with its cars... In fact, pretty much every car maker does it now. The only "insanity" I see is some people's inability to process that.
