+joan lantis Thank you for your super nice comment Joan! ♥ My suggestions to anyone trying to decorate for Christmas on a budget is to theme your decor using "color". And "shop your own home" by looking over your existing decorations to discover if you have alot of items within the same color scheme. Putting "like colored" items together (in scenes) creates impact. And adding in touches of greenery (which are free from the tree lots & super pretty when mixed with greenery from your yard & tied together with a little ribbon) & finished off with a light sprinkle of artificial snow will create charming vignettes in cabinets, or on counters, cake plates, tables, shelves or mantles. I also suggest that you shop yard & church rummage sales for inexpensive holiday decor & greenery... especially during the summer when NO one is interested because it will still be there when everything is marked down during the last hour of the sale & that's when you can scoop up bargains! And I guarantee it that you will come across entire plastic tubes of shatterproof ornament balls, which are great for hanging in your tree, wreaths & garlands or placed in jars or bowls or simply scattered in among your tabletop decorations. And you can even personalize those to create sayings like "NOEL", "WELCOME CHRISTMAS", etc. or even your last name. They are also nice used on your holiday table, at each place setting, especially if you personalize them with each of your holiday dinner guest's names or initials (using paint, a marker or peel & stick letters) so they can take it home as a gift. A final thought... they are also pretty hung from inexpensive satin ribbon (50 cents a roll at WalMart) and hung in windows or doorways for a magical touch of unexpected whimsy. So, by adding your own decorations to a few freebies from your local Christmas tree lot and some yard sale finds, you'll have amazing holiday decor for very little money! Don't forget to shop after Christmas too. :) I hope my suggestions help you... Eileen

onlyoldnavy I purchase them at stores like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Christmas Tree Shop, Cracker Barrel, Dillards Dept. Store, Kirklands, The Stable (in Lake Alfred, FL), Hallmark Gold Crown Stores and Home Goods. Some of them, I actually make myself too! Thanks for watching. :-)
