US marines make 20k a year starting but yeah the guys who make 5 million a year should get paid more for risking their lives even though its entertainment and not a necessity and is 100% voluntary. Not to mention nobody has died in a NASCAR Race since 2001 (Dale Earnhardt) so yeah some risk is there but the risk of actually losing their life has gone way way down.

I’ve watched racing for a long time and know know not to stand against the fence. Losing my life to see them that close isn’t worth it, unless you’re dumb and don’t know it. If that the case then go for it.

Matthew Rhodes there's literally a sign there that says not to do it and I don't know if the 24 hrs of Daytona is different, but when I went to that the area they are at is chained off so your not even supposed to be there

been to a daytona road race before.. car flew into the fence and i was standing right where it hit the fence. its not safe to be that close.
