Recently had a no crank, no start...not even a light would come on unless I jumped it directly from the battery in the trunk. So when I was doing that I noticed my negative terminal was a bit loose. So I tightened it and that worked for a while but it started doing it again lol. So I jump it, negative terminal was secured but when I go to take the jump box I noticed the positive terminal was moving and loose lol😂. You can't make this up. So I tightened it and....it started up no issues

I’ve got a 2014 SXT AWD Charger, that was a ex-police/security car. Low mileage (only 117,000km (73,000mi). When it got cold a few weeks ago, the car wouldn’t start (no crank, no start). My cousin and I boosted it and managed to get it to run, so I took it home and put in the garage. My dad and I changed the battery the next morning, however the car did the same thing that night when it was left outside. This past week we changed the starter, however the car is having the same issue. It did throw the U0101 code yesterday which it didn’t throw before, so could the TCM have been the cause from the beginning? Or could it be a different electrical issue?

Did you put a brand new battery in the vehicle? If so, it sounds like you might have a parasitic draw, you would need to do a parasitic draw test and figure out what system is draining the battery

Hopefully you are still paying attention to this video a year later. I am having the same issue. loss communication with with shift U0103 code. I have looked but not inspected the wires you fould the damage on yet. But I also have no power to my trunk lid so backup camera reverse lights ect. Does the BCM control all those things?

It's the shifter module...it's throwing all the codes off if you unplug the shifter from the transmission boom codes gone and u can get start and power... plug it back in codes will go off crazy again or go go away, but yeah replace the shifter whole shifter.

This one was rodent damage to the shifter module, and to the transmission itself

And now when I try to start the car spazzes out and now won’t recognize the key I’m lost before getting into anything I disconnected the 10 fuse for the Ecm and left it for 12 or more hours tried the fuse and it fixed the problem one time started but engine sounded ruff so I cut it off and when I went to cut it back on car wouldn’t start I’m at a complete loss have no idea what to do.

I believe it depends on what transmission you have. If it is a 42RE I believe it is in the PCM. If it is a nag1, I believe it is under the dash to the left of the steering column.

My dodge cranks but not start I did the diagnostic it said fuel pump I changed the fuel pump drove for about a week and a half my gas gage kept reading low fuel after I filled her up idk what to do

I believe it’s the dashboard. The dashboard harness has the communications attached to it and it’s only compatible with the police interceptor harness. I’m having this same problem now. Did a full 392 swap on my 2016 interceptor charger , doesn’t read the key and doesn’t know if it’s in park. I swapped everything except the dashboard. Looking for a full dashboard now. But I’m pretty certain that’s it.

@@SRT_DREdid you change the rf-hub as well might be that causing a problem if it ain’t the one from the swap car & as far as the dash you don’t need a full dash just the dash wire harness from that year make & model of the swap good luck with everything

I believe it depends on what transmission you have. If it is the 42RE I believe it is in the PCM. If it is the nag one I believe it is under the dash to the left of the steering column. You can look at your PCM if it has four connectors, it is in the PCM, if it has a place for a fourth connector, but there is no wiring harness there and it should be under the dash to the left of the steering column. I did a video on a 2015 charger that would not shut off unless you unhook the battery, it had melted wires from the cigarette lighter/12 V power supply all the way to the trunk. Fuse box.

I called the dealership because I had taken it in for a problem with tcm a year ago. But they said the tcm is inside the transmission, that last time it was only a fuse. Could it be the conductor plate by chance? Because now it wont even go into any gear and the car says its not in park.

It sounds like possibly a bad starter or a bad connection at the starter, what codes do you have , you need to see if you have power at the small starter wire when you try to start the vehicle
