2014 Fusion No Start - Bad PCM ?!? -- FIXED--

2015 fusion 2.0 doing the exact same thing but intermittently. When it mirrors your symptoms perfectly I can unhook the battery for 5 minutes and it will regain communication. I'm assuming it is a heat related connection issue that temporarily corrects itself after a cool down. Bad solder joint on board is my assumption. Point being its not a one off issue and thank-you for the video to confirm my suspicions about the pcm

Did you changed the pcm and did a parameter reset? Just got a ford fusion 2013 and I'm able to start and drive but after some time the car just goes to limp, brakes gets stiff as fuck, steering wheel and shuts down. I almost shat my pants on first time that happened in the middle of the day in an avenue. I believe the car overheats and I'm able to make it run after cool down.

@filipemendon you need to scan the car for check engine light codes. My car wouldn’t scan to tell me the codes, further telling me the pcm was bad.

That's the thing. My car starts but all those symptoms appears after sometime, looks like something is overheating and throwing a limp mode

And you don’t have a check engine light? Even if you don’t though, you’ll have stored CEL codes you should scan to get an idea what’s going wrong.

I've been getting a p06e9 00 replaced started bc i benched tested my starter and it didnt spin so i assumed it was my starter, when i turn the key a few times no crank, check engine light just flashes. Please help lol

I just picked up a 2015 Fusion 2.5 SE with a no crank no start issue. Already replaced the battery and had the starter tested. Been running through all my fuses and relays and everything checks out. I also have a LOT of error codes on my car as well. My question is, who did you go through online to program your new PCM using the car's vin?

i’m having a similar issue with an 07 ford fusion. dead battery and no start every so often. Replaced my starter and battery, worked fine for a week or two. not the battery has been dying every couple of nights. The battery light came in while sitting in park or if i idle too long, Alternator is good, our next step was going to be looking at the pcm or bcm? What do you think?

2015 SE and it’s not ( sometimes doesn’t) cranking got give it many tries to start. Auto Zone can scan it but not ORellys and sometimes dies when I do start it

I have a similar problem mines do start but codes coming up change parts n nothing besides keyfob is not opening the car. I have to do it manually. I think I'm going 2 buy the pcm and take it to ford so they install it and avoid the extra problem. Also it saying mine park assistant needs checked ✔️. I changed the sensors and no change

Tried to flash back to stock tune and now my 2017 Fusion is acting like this… after the reset from ford were you able to flash tune it again?????

Nope no problems. Drive the car all the time just like I was before this issue.

Had the same happened on a lady's car I know. Wouldn't start at all. Disconnected the battery for 5 minutes then it works for now.

Are we sure its not the 12v battery?

Obviously it wasn’t the battery if replacing and programming a new pcm fixed the issue….

No issues and no I didn’t tune it. It’s been on there for over 4 years now. Just clean it every once in a while

Where did you get the pcm from? And how much did it cost you? I am having the same problem 😔😔 I replaced all the relays and fuses but it’s giving me the same errors.
