I just did this procedure 2 days ago. For new viewers @ 2:00 he talks about a bolt falling into the frame tube. Save yourself some time and hassle by just putting a small piece of duct tape over the tube ends on each side. I had a bolt fall towards the tube too, but luckily I had seen in another video to do the tape thing and It blocked the bolt from falling into the tube. If you're reattaching the fender, be sure to get the two tabs at the front into their slots. @ 2:00, you can clearly see the two small recessed rectangles in front of the bolt holes and the tip of a tab showing just under the cable. Also get the small "tabs" on the fender slid under the seat cowling on each side of the tail light. BTW, I used the existing bolts without any problem. It is best to have a friend help...makes the job EZ PZ.

I bought the luggage rack but can’t use it with my fender eliminator kit because my fender eliminator kit had welded studs that go through the bolt holes and then a lock nut. The studs are so short I don’t think I will have enough threads. I’m going to try it again. If I can get a few threads I might be able to thread lock them. Either that or cut the studs off, drill them out and the buy new hardware. Edit, holy crap, I just noticed this video is 7yrs old!😂🤣😂

I feel like the actual installation was skipped 70% of it. Its like here is the rack. You need 4 bolts and then next clip you show its ON

Like i just went and bout some big washers. Hoping theyll hold. Ive had nothing but issues since i started upgrading evwrything. Bike slowed down by like 70% when i put intake exhaust on it. Just found out last week , after putting my stock back on. That you can reset it in the diagnostic port and paper clip. From what ive gathered online the bike has that ecu learning capabilities and it takes 1000+ miles of riding b4 it can map the fuel needed for intake and exhaust. So thats what im gonna try. Put my exhaust back on amd hope it will have the power i want. And also guys if you change your handlebars, they make your clutch cable not disengage like its supposed to. Had to move it more towards the center of the bike. Only thing i knew to do.

I think so... I am going to add a milk crate to mine. just grab some 1/2" clamps from home depot. those four prongs are a good place to attach a bungee cord wrapped around

lanceoa so there no visible way to mount the top box. just have to get a universal top box and hope it fits

If I am correct you got the Vagabondmotorsport fender eliminator kit with this rack and the combo works just fine with the stock blinkers? seems a good choice, this rack is nicer than the Vagabondmotorsports rack, but I wonder if you can use stock Givi boxes on it as well?

Thanks for the video! I just got my Grom and would like to do the same type of thing. I might zip-tie a milk crate to the back since all I would need the basket for is my chain lock and maybe gallons of water from the store. Yeah, I just saw the vagabond rack, right after I did my install, that one is sick.. none-the-less, I will throw a milk crate on mine, just havent had time to roll over to Lowes/HD yet. I want to do it a bit tougher with some metal strap or something. We'll see... stay tuned and you should throw up some vids if you do some mods
