***** Yea, You probably don't have any experience with any minivan. You're probably those people that change their oil every 30k miles and drive with all the warning lights on the dash LOL. Then you go complain how this and that doesnt work. I BARELY see any american minivans or kia thats on the road. Most of them are the siennas or odysseys.

The best minivan. I had a Ford Windstar and a Chrysler Town and Country, before I gave up and bought an Odyssey. I owned a 2004 and put over 200k miles on it and never did any non-scheduled maintenance. I gave to a friend two years ago and it still runs strong. Now I have a 2014 same thing with more options.

Good job describing the Honda Odyssey. At times the narrator was hard to understand and talked too fast but he did do a good job overall. Very informative.

this is a high-tech van. we have a 2013. i gotta say I'm extremely impressed with the 2014. it's totally better than the other vans on the market. go odyssey.

the 2013 is still a great car. we have a 2012 pilot EXL which shares its tech with the odyssey and MDX of that time period and it's easily been one of the best honda's we've ever had. we had an 03 odyssey before it, thing ran to 175,000 miles before needing its first repair so you know it'll last forever too.

FYI- The touring doesn't have the vacuum. Just the Elite trim. I'm looking to buy a minivan. Never have owned one before, but with a growing family I think the odyssey is the way to go. Doing a ton of research and looking at getting the Touring trim.

I already addressed the touring and touring elite vacuum thing in the comments. If you want a minivan, this is the ultimate one to get. feels like a honda accord v6 instead of a cruise ship.

Really wind and road noise in this car vanished as honda made the 3rd and 4th generation odysseys, i personally think these are very smooth, refined, powerful, and quiet when out and about and one of the best things about this van is that.. it doesn't drive like a van it drives like an accord V6 and has a great turning radius. overall feels smaller. Thats in my opinion though you should test drive the vehicle before making a choice.

2 things not perfect with Odyssey: 1. the 3rd row window is not big enough, once i sit in there, i feel a bit dizzy, it's feels like sitting in a box. Sienna is a little better. 2. the steering wheel is not very "smart", when turning right/left, once i release it, it doesn't come back to expected position, i have to adjust. Sienna does better.

it would be great if car dealers allowed a port for a tablet right on the dashboard...I don't need both displays on this van, all i need is a place to put my Nexus 10 tablet and have that be my all command center

Thanks for replying. i did test drive it last night. :-) i did both Odyssey 2014 SE and Sienna 2013 LE. you are right, Odyssey is really smooth and quiet, much better than my 2007 Passat wagon. :-) compare to Odyssey, Sienna LE, is a bit noisy, engine/road/wind, i hear all of them.

they never have been, they're a conservative car company yes but they always have some of the most refined stuff under the hood in alot of classes, and have quite a bit of engineering advancements under their belt that other makers wish they have thought of.

i didn't. i indicated that it has lanewatch, which it does along with having lane departure warning.

Thanks! actually, you can option up for the rear entertainment system (TV) on the EX-L trim, separately from navi so you dont have to pay an arm and la leg. touring and touring elite come with the extra wide screen flat panel TV in the back as standard equipment. touring elite has the vacuum

What color was that minivan? I can't get a clear video or photo of modern steel vs topaz. I think the topaz is more of a brown? But online they look like the same color. If anyone can shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

it's modern steel metallic. smokey topaz leans more towards the brown side.

no, not rethinking because your'e 100 % wrong. first generation 1994 to 1998, second 1999 to 2004, third 2005 to 2010, FOURTH, 2011 to present. the 08 to 2010 is the refresh of the third generation, just like 2002 to 2004 is the refresh of the second, and 2014 and up is the refresh of the fourth gen. dont screw with a car ive been living with since i was a kid, not to mention i owned one so i think i know a little more about honda than you think.
