Thank you for the compliments! The road trip was a blast and it was fun to take the video inbetween.

Thank you. The interior noise wasnt easy for us to judge regarding the bad road conditions. Whenever the road was good, the new mazda is pretty silent inside. I am not aware that we were at any point annoyed by any wind noises.

Just to show that the little Mazda3 can deal with those situations just fine. You cannot assume that you have perfect road conditions everywhere.

It will be officially presented at the IAA the auto show in Frankfurt on September 10th 2013. For the release date in your coutry you might wonna consult your Mazda dealer.

It is not easy for us to compare. We drove the Golf on good German pavement vs. the Mazda3 on Russian road conditions with special tyres. I was a bit surprised when I cut the video that the car seemed kinda loud on the scenes where I speak while driving. During the trip we never had the feeling that the sound inside was loud.
@ausfahrttv11 жыл бұрын
The official presentation for public will be in September this year on the IAA (car show) in Frankfurt. The release date will depend on the local markets.

Mazda follows another philosophy. Instead of downsized and turbocharging, they stick with > 2 Liter cubic capacity and work out better performance/efficency with higher compression ratio.
@ausfahrttv11 жыл бұрын
We had outside temperatures in Russia of 36°C equals 96.8°F - and the air condition had no problems cooling the inside down. I agree that this is not comparable to Arizona, but should give you an idea for other non-extreme regions in the world.
@ausfahrttv11 жыл бұрын
The wind noise was quite tolerable. But we did not go faster than 120 km/h for longer distances, so we are not sure about wind noise on higher speeds.
@ausfahrttv11 жыл бұрын
We only had a chance to drive the 2.0 120 hp version with manual transmission. We will have a chance to drive the other engines and the automatic transmission in September.

You are very welcome. It was fun!

Rather interessting, but much better than I had expected. Especially when overtaking I had worse experiences in other regions of the world.

We are sorry, we had to take the plane to Russia and could not take our letherman. Otherwise we would have disassembled the whole car. We were on a road trip, so we took the time for an everyday check. The brakes brake by the way. The steering steers. If anything would not have worked at least fine, we would have mentioned it. By the way, we are bloggers, no professional car magazine with a bunch of testers and editors.
@ausfahrttv11 жыл бұрын
I am wondering why you think so, we were rather pleased by the noise level inside.
@ausfahrttv11 жыл бұрын
Yes, I would compare the mazda petrol engines to others - according top the hp-value - regardless what the engines cubic capacity is.

Hehe. You are right. Thats a pretty silly line. I was trying to point out that the side windows in the rear are pretty small, but that grown-ups have still an allright view, but kids might have problems, depending on their age and size.

You cannot compare the road conditions in Sibiria to our European standards. But we had long longs that were in at least fair if not good conditions.

Thank you this is the first real test drive I've seen on the new 3! I have 2012 sky sedan with stick and thinking of upgrading to the new one. How much nicer is the new one? I'd be especially interested in a bit for pep and a little nicer ride and interior quality.
