Quick correction, the luxury model has Halogen headlights, not LEDs, at least on the model shown in your video.

biggest issue with the luxury model is those awful wheels. better ones are available but it'd be great to be able to get the sport five-spokes with the luxury grille / hood ornament

Just picked up the luxury model about a month ago. mine came with the chrome base wheels instead of the alloy wheels but I agree, the sport AMG wheels look better

@@MunworthCrowell hahaha if being honest, the main reason I went with the luxury model was for the traditional grill and hood ornament. I do love the aggressive look of the sport model though and don’t be too jealous, your E350 wagon is still one of the best looking wagons on the road today

The sports-model has it all over the luxury-model, which looks plain and dated imo. I currently have the 2011 sports-model which has the older grill with the LED lights below. I thought I preferred the benz-emblem but I'm warming up to the star on the grill. I'd never go for anything but the AMG wheels which I have on mine. I'm seriously considering updating though, possibly 2016.

This video as Dave has said is specific to the US market. There is no concept of Classic, Elegance, Avantgarde for any MB cars sold the USA. In fact, one of the equipment codes on MB vehicles is the specific deletion of trim badging.

Dave you are wrong. Its not a sport and a luxury model as you talk about. Check the MB website and get to know the basics about models. The Standard and Elegance comes with the good old grille and bonnet logo but now with hidden exhaust systems. Only the Avantgarde has exhaust that are visible, and they come with the truck grille with the big logo, instead of making it an option. Now that`s how it is here in Europe. Its not - sport and luxury - as you say on this video.

I like the look of the sport package but I find the ride is unrefined though maybe they changed it up a bit as I test drove a 2011 model. The sport suspension does handle better but too much road harshness finds it's way into the cabin which is unlike that of an MB. I would go for the luxury because it will ride far more like a traditional MB should. If you really want sport go for a BMW with the sport package, BMW manages to make a car both sporty and forgiving over the bumps all at the same time.

The sport's suspension is too stiff in my opinion, therefore the luxury is more comfortable. The sport's styling is more attractive to me than the Luxury variant. Hmmm...difficult choice.

Hi there. Thanks for watching. This video is specific to the US market only. If you look at MBUSA.com you won't find the word 'avantgarde' under E class styling. In a colloquial way, we're talking about the new E class much like we talk about the C class models released in 2008.

The sport model literally looks like the c300 what are you talking about. In my opinion the luxury grill is what makes it a real E class. The E class is always supposed to resemble the S class
