This is a review of LEGO Ninjago set 70724 Ninjacopter! This set originally released in 2014 as a part of the Ninjago Rebooted wave, and contains 4 minifigures: Battle-Damaged Rebooted Zane, Pixal, and two Nindroids.

A thrilling battle is raging above New Ninjago City as the conflict for the Techno-Blades reaches new heights! Battle-scarred Zane, with his half-robot/half-Ninja face, and Pixal must work together in the NinjaCopter to outwit the attacking Nindroids. Spin the propellers and rear jet engines to soar into action. Fire the front flick missiles and rotating shooting cannons, taking care to evade the spinning saw blades of the Nindroid jet fighter. I remember I actually got this set in 2017, and it was a sealed copy on eBay for $55. It was also the one set that got me back into the line, especially when I got it in July just before the movie sets came out

An idea for you to use: if you ever make villain EVO Mechs, you could make an Overlord one with multiple legs as the main aesthetic. A cannon over his head inspired by the one from the Golden Master as its primary weapon

5:27 I absolutely loved just playing with these cannons even individually as a kid. I remember them the most from coming in the Agents line from 2008 which was my 1st ever theme as well as the Garmatron tank in 2013, Hyperspeed Pursuit from Space Police III, & the Galactic Titan from Galaxy Squad also in 2013. (Side note, Galaxy Squad is the only Lego theme I have every since set from. Pharaoh’s Quest is 2nd because I only didn’t have the Scorpion Pyramid) These cannons also came in sets as recently as the Garmadon Garmadon Garmadon Shark & Jay’s Lightning jet from the movie. This was definitely my favorite projectile as a kid though.

Zane’s vehicle was the best from season 3, it was very well done in Lego form I would have loved it if I got it, and this set comes with the falcon! I really didn’t like any other vehicle from season 3 other than maybe Kai’s and kind of Cole’s, but jay’s felt weird (at least the old one the legacy one is cool) and Lloyd’s motorcycle just didn’t really need to be included.

Some of the vehicles were pretty strange, but the best thing about rebooted is the great balance between all the ninja and villains vehicles.

I love hearing interesting stories like these from individuals, that you wouldn't hear from anywhere else, because the idea that a LEGO set can mean so much to someone is very intriguing to me. Personally, a set like Kai Fighter (from the same wave as this set) was my first ever Ninjago set. To me that holds as much value as the Ninjacopter holds to you.

The falcon was the communication system that the ninja used to communicate with lloyd while he was traveling with garmadon. He got hacked by pythor and this revealed lloyd his location.

This set has a deep place in my heart, it was my first Ninjago set, it got me into Ninjago rebooted is also one of my favorite seasons of all time, I had every rebooted set besides the Jay and Cole vehicle, the Buzz Saw Speeder, and Dareth vs. the Nindroid.

It was nice hearing your story to go along with this set. I have a similar story except it happened this year for me instead & with the Spider Man Daily Bugle set which was the set that made me come back to Lego after I stopped in 2017. Also, Zane is my favorite ninja as well, so since coming back to Lego this year I now have 19 versions of him, 18 of which are new & I can’t to get the massive Zane dragon this January!

I hopped on the lego train a little late. By the time I got my first set the pilots and season 1 already passed by. They were nowhere to be seen in Walmart. So I got the golden dragon, but for some reason I never felt nostalgia for it, I think the lack of joints made it feel very boring. What really kicked off my lego addiction was the electro mech, and I just loved that all my tournament of element mini figures came with hair pieces. That add on, I also discovered the tv show, and the lego movie came out.

Bro I literally had this set when I was a kid, my brother was building it and apparently a piece was missing so he couldn’t finish the build and now this set is lost among the Lego bins, just like the Kai Fighter, the Thunder Raider, and the Overborg attack

This was one of the few Ninjago sets I have had and I really wish I could find the parts to rebuild it. I remember making a shrine out of the nindroid wings and now that shrine is used to store the main nindroid jet.

Omg. I missed this set. This was my FIRST ever set from Ninjago. If I didn’t get this set. My start on my love of LEGO wouldn’t happened. But sadly this set, along with two others got destroyed by little kids and some of pieces are broken. When LEGO was doing Legacy, I hoped for a Legacy version of Zane’s Ninjacopter. But they didn’t, and now they aren’t making any more of them.
