I currently own this car. Her name is Maxine Smith 🤣🤣🤣 Maxine came with the sport platinum package! She’s pearl white with a black tinted glass top. The interior is tan. Since the dash is black, I put black floor mats down and removed the tan color. I put black rims with matching racing tires. I have a moon roof..but the front only opens. I also have a sunscreen in the back! Which comes in handy during the Summer months. It only had 26k miles when purchased the car. I’ve had regular maintenance and I’ve had no issues. It was worth every penny. And this review was 100% accurate! The only thing I don’t like is the ride is tougher. And I hate it when people pull up wanting to race. 😂😂😂 Please believe I give them what they want every time. We don’t race with high end sports cars because we know we will lose!!! My take off is hell in sport mode,but with Charger’s , Challenger’s , Mustang’s, & Camaro’s if it has a Hemi, it’s an SS, or 5.0....I don’t even waste my time! 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂Fastest I’ve gone was 140 it’s 160 on the dash!!! 😈

Good review. I own this this car in the 2013 premium version. As a note, they put a cvt transmission for maximum fuel economy. Many car makers are putting in more gears (6 or 8 speeds) for the same reason. All that is is a step closer to a cvt with basically unlimited gears. It has a sport mode that gives it 6 set gear shift points programmed in so it feels more like a conventional transmission. . So, it is like two cars in one. A economy car in regular drive mode and a sport mode for performance. I traded in a 2013 v6 mustang, and mustang is 11 percent faster 0-60, but when both are in sport mode, the maxima feels faster. But, in reality, it is not. Also, as a note, 0 to 60 is faster in regular D mode "drive" than in sport mode. Sport mode just sounds better. Sport mode may cost you 2 or 3 percent on your mpg in sport mode. However, if you drive sensibly in sport mode, it gets near the same gas mileage , but less ever time you give it a hard acceleration than D mode would. Also, as a side note, a K&N drop in air filer gives you approximately 10 percent better gas mileage. I get 30 mpg on the highway. 0 to 60 in about 5.8 seconds with a 150 pound driver, 1 gallon of gas in the tank, at sea level, near perfect weather conditions, and performance tires. The cvt takes away from the "4 door sport car" theme but still a great car.

This was my dream car since I was a teenager. I own the sv premium model. Whoever originally bought it left the original sales receipt. Bought literally all the bells and whistles nissan offers for this car. Borderline luxury. I paid $10k for 90k miles and the original owner paid $39k for it brand new. Freaking DEAL if you ask me. Only crashed once (never totaled). I cannot state how much I love this car. Anyone looking for modding their car for more hp heres my list from personal experience. I will admit if your looking to mod this car for performance its hard to really get the hp up their. But if money is no issue..zf You can get stuff like a CAI (I recommend k&n or AEM) (if you get a cai I recommend you get a bumper duct and run a tube to it because if not its basically a hot air intake with negative performance gain without cold air), performance crankshafts, high flow cats, muffler delete (not my cup of tea), and ofcoarse ecu tune (which I recommend for everyone, theirs a complete difference after tunning your ecu) (or flashing), also get a new intake manifold because the stock is trash. If you want a turbo or supercharger you'll need a vq35de model. You WILL NEED to swap the transmission. And a intercooler your looking at atleadt $3k. You'll eventually NEED to repalce the transmission with a regular automatic or a manual altima 6 speed if your trying to get your hp in the 400 or above range. Its REQUIRED. You cvt WILL BLOW. No exceptions! Hope that helps someone. Took me a LONG time to find a list of performance parts you can mod this car with.

Anyone that doesn’t like this car is an idiot. And by the way, this car is way better than the Altima. No comparison. Everything about this model is aggressive. The hood, flared fenders. The only thing I don't like about mine is the CVT transmission. The car does not roll freely going downhill. The engine/transmission actually "brake" the car going downhill, gaining rpm's and slowing it without touching the brakes. This might be a nice feature pulling a gooseneck trailer but it has no place on an automobile.

Then I refilled whatever came out and left it as that. The ac compressor was out so I had a new one installed. It was still idling rough so I scanned it with an OBD 2 and got a cylinder misfire. Changed the spark plugs because it was easy and cheap and checked the coils but the coils were good. Still had a rough idle issue after that and took it to a shop. They diagnosed and said I had a bad fuel injector for that cylinder and wanted 800 dollars. I went home and did the injector myself for 39 and replaced the intake gasket for 15 since I was already there. It is still running rough but I think I just need to do a throttle relearn and hopefully that will take care of the issues

I got the 2012 Maxima and its currently at 197k miles original trans and engine, probably gonna head to 300k, its got a cold air intake, one of the mufflers is slightly bent into the car and being held by some wires cause the welds broke. It made it sound louder def, sounds great but I need to fix that muffler lol. Everyone hates on the cvt but its really fun and it makes a whining noise at 5-6k rpm (kinda like a supercharger), the intake makes it sound better too ngl.
@MusifierOfficial18 күн бұрын
intake was only 200 dollars too and it has a heat shield so its not sucking a bunch of hot air, theres also a boxed area that lets air from grille come straight to it, can find it at autozone or whatever

I prefer the 2000-2003, 2009-2014, and the 2016-2023 Nissan Maximas. My dad had the 2000 Nissan Maxima SE. I also think the this 2014 Maxima 3.5 SV in particular is the best.

You can use the paddle shifters in any mode, the difference is in sport mode the paddle shifters only control the transmission- in normal drive mode after some time the computer control will resume.

Everytime I notice this Nissan Maxima in a traffic (2010-2014 models), I recall her "Ferrari Testarossa" style sibling (didn't you recognise this perfect body?), and I am falling in love again and again... I couldn't get it in time - in 2011 -2014 - when I was unemployed... Now I've got my own company and this thing will be my lovely baby soon along with the Lancia Stratos, Ferrari Countach, Testarossa, Lambo Diablo, Dodge Stealth, and Nissan GTR (just funny even to think about the next models of the mentioned companies - you will never dare to drive more than 100 mph on the highway when police is sleeping :)

Like idk if they weren’t using JATCO Automatics back then (not that JATCO automatics are that bad) but it’s so hard to find a bad review of this car, even for reliability. I believe JD Power gave the 2009-2014 models a 4.5 out of 5 star predicted reliability rating. I guess they were right.🤷♂️😂

If it had a conventional transmission verses a cvt, then the 4DSC labeling would work. The 4DSC "4 door sports car" label is not accurate for a cvt setup. But, is is fast , has sharp handling, and sounds great. Some comments that it is smaller than the Altima, Accord, and Camry on the inside, but that is something I personally like. That makes it feel a little bit more sporty sitting inside , and looks more sporty on the outside. Along with the sports car theme, is has flared front and rear fenders, and my 2013 sv premium even has rear bolstered seats. I really like this car and the longer I have it, the more I like. As an owner, I find the small things this car has that are just well designed touches. Needless to say, it is a quality luxury car.

If you got the "guap" go for the Infinity!! More juice more goodies....If not get the Maxima not to hard on the pocket and is right behind the Infinity. The Maxima I've liked (never owned....yet) for a long time, to me it is a sports sedan, its a Big Coupe.... which is what I own now so right up my alley lol!! I'm sure there are Way better cars and other things but I dig this ride. Love the all around info and your take on this car....cause I still want one lol!!

I have owned 2 other Maxima's ('88 and '04) and loved them. When the 7th Generation debuted, I loved the look but refused to buy one because of the CVT as well. Drove one for the first time back in December and fell in love again! While still not a huge fan of the CVT, I've learned how to make it work for me. More often than not, I keep it in Ds mode, which mimics 6 gears. Acceleration is way more exciting that way. Also, around town, I use the paddles or shifter to "manually" shift the gears to keep my RPM's down but to feel more like a conventional automatic.
