This is definitely going to be a good series of videos. XD It would be kinda funny if the wizard one were crashed by 3.5 Wizard and their absurd shenanigans since it'll probably be the last video in the set, and I'd argue that absurd pile of stacking spell combos was the definitive edition of the wizard, but I'm not expecting it. What I do expect for that one is 1d4 damage.

Because you can expend an use of rage to have advantage on a check and use your strenght modifier Unlimited rage would mean Unlimited checks. Basically you lost combat power for utility And I'd Say not even that much combat power, since morde than 6 encounters a day is almost never gonna happen in a sane group. Plus, rage now lasts 10 minute So yeah, 6 rages a day is plenty

I've never understood the fascination behind being a Smite bot. It was fun until halfway through the first campaign. Then it got boring. The entirety of your actions boiled down to: DM: "And what are you going to do this turn?" Me: "[insert some flavor of Smite here because I never have any reason to cast any other spell ever]". I will gladly take less Smites if it means I instead get always learned Find Steed and new abilities that interact with Paladin auras in neat ways. All of the new Paladin level 20s look fantastic.

There are several kinds of Barbarians. Some are dumb, some are strong, some are frighteningly fast. And then there's my Gnome Barbarian, who's basically terrified of getting into any altercation, as he gets possessed by an ancient bloodthirsty Orc warrior who had his soul sucked out of his body centuries ago, and only takes over the body when the Gnome gets hit by any attack.

Honestly I'll be glad to not be forced to play a Smite bot if I decide to run a Paladin. It was fun for the first campaign. Being a Smite bot got real old, real quick. I will 100% take less Smites in exchange for always learned Find Steed and the new abilities that interact with Paladin Auras.

Reading the two rage features on 5e tools side by side, there are a few corrections to make. First, both rages are effectively "until the end of your next turn unless you do X to maintain it." They are worded differently, but mechanically the same in this regard. They only differ in what actions are needed to maintain the rage. 2014 rage is maintained by attacking an enemy or sustaining damage, and costs a bonus action to turn off. 2024 rage is continued by attacking an enemy, forcing a save, or spending a bonus action to continue. This removes the incentive to hurt yourself to maintain rage and instead encourages barbarians to shove and grapple while raging. Notably, 2024 rage is weaker, as it is disabled with merely the Incapacitated cond, while 2014 requires fully Unconscious. That means Stunning a barb now negates their rage, forcing another activation. However, 2024 barbs now get 1 rage back on a short rest, so they have more to throw around. 2014 can last up to 1 minute if you keep meeting the requirements to maintain the rage, while 2024 rage can last up to 10 minutes from level 1. The perk at level 15 removes the need to do anything proactively to maintain rage for its max duration. This is more or less the same feature they get in the 2014 rules. Also, 2024 persistent rage upgrades Rage to only switch off with Unconscious condition and grants 1/LR regain all expended rages. Lastly, it deserves to be mentioned that Rage bonus in 2024 now explicitly includes unarmed strikes, whereas RAW/RAI 2014 rage bonus only applied to melee weapon attacks
