We do not fear him. We respect and love this grandfather of Singapore. For everything that he had done for us, for every decision that he made to lead us ahead of every other neighbours, for putting the nation's interest ahead of any other factors and for giving his lifetime to ensure we progress as a nation. Love u "grandpa"

Words cannot described the good that you've done for Singapore. Singapore is lucky and it was too small for you. The stage was too small for a man of your talent. You would have achieved phenomenol success in any country you govern. Thank you Mr Lee. The world needs more people like you.

One people, one nation, one Singapore!
Mr Lee is also able to converse fairly well with various other dialect groups in addition to speaking in Bahasa Melayu and English. This is a true blue Singaporean who grew up in the straits of Malaya. His ethnicity is chinese but not his nationality. Thanks.
Tough environment create tough characters. The first generation of Singaporean leaders were a special class. They worked together irregardless of race and religion to create what Singapore is today. The younger generations may not understand what true leadership in tough and dangerous times. Nowadays, the youth are obsessed with 'human rights/democracy' without understanding the context, responsibility and implications. Such distorted and simplistic views are perpetuated by social media.

Cassie Zheng I think if you want to know about facts , don't watch Taiwan current affairs programme. They have a lot of inaccuracies or they have wrong perceptions about Singapore. Singapore and Hongkong current affairs are much better.

The great gratitude and respect for Lee Kuan Yew was seen when tens of thousands of Singaporeans lined the roads in torrential rain to catch a last glimpse of his casket during the funeral procession. Many waited for hours. Merdeka.
Freedom of the press is important because it plays a vital role in informing citizens about public affairs and monitoring the actions of government at all levels.
