It's simple really. Tottenham was 1st for a majority of the season. And just like how water is wet, Tottenham bottled a one horse race to Leceister.

That’s not true dude. Tottenham were never top of the league that season, only city were top at the start, Arsenal were top around mid season, and then Leicester led from GW23 to the end… contrary to popular belief.

@CTOTHER My bad, the one horse race was a different season. However Tottenham was 2nd for majority of the season (second half) and somehow placed third.
