When you put the vehicle into reverse the backup camera is displayed automatically normally. With using this system, while using Android Auto/ Apple Carplay if I put the vehicle into reverse will the backup camera come on automatically still? Also. I'm looking into what to buy/ how to set this up for a 2016 Toyota Sienna, what do I need to purchase.

So do I understand this correctly that you can't use the Apple Car Play and listen to the car radio at the same time. I also drive a Chevy Traverse and can be using Waze and listen to the radio at the same time with the Waze commands overriding the radio volume.

Technically you can listen to the radio and use Carplay at the same time but the experience will be different. There’s two ways: leave the source to radio before switching screen over to carplay mode. The disadvantage is that you won’t hear the turn by turn directions. Second way is to download a radio app on your phone which is compatible with carplay

The display is stretched a little bit vertically to be able to utilize the full real estate on the factory screen

The voice command button on the steering wheel is locked with the Toyota system and won’t work with Siri but you can summon Siri by long pressing the bottom left corner of the touch screen while in carplay mode

@@BeatSonicUS yea unfortunately I don't like that the actual icon didn't pop up. Overall it's a great bypass into the stock unit but hitting aux and pwr button twice just seems a bit much.
